Anyone experience excessive vibration and what feels like a bad tire? I’ve had my car inspected by the dealer several times. Just put all new tires on for second time. Road force balance. Nothing has helped. In park with engine running you can feel the vibration on the hood as well as the door frames if you open the doors and hold them. Turn the ac on and load the engine and it gets worse. That same vibration gets magnified big time while on the highway. This is my second sedan. My first one drove great. I feel like I need to pull off the road at 80mph because it’s vibrating so bad. Cars at the dealer again and they said come and get it there’s nothing wrong. I’m not happy. Any suggestions? Clearly something is out of balance under the hood.

I don't have anything like you describe, but if it's as bad as you say, I find it hard to believe the Genesis service department wouldn't notice it.

However on my 4 month old G80 Sport, I have noticed an annoying "buzz" on the shift lever when I put my hand on top of it at a stop sign. It's a cycling buzz maybe every 30 seconds or so. Goes away completely once I get moving. I assume it's caused by something in the transmission.

They do sell engine vibration damper thru Shark Racing. They aren't expensive maybe worth a try.
Universal NVH Damper

Did they check the harmonic balancer by chance? It could be loose or out of balance. It's the only other thing that might cause the problem you're describing.

Are they seeing this or are you just dropping it off? Go for a ride with one of their Genesis mechanics. Always explain and demonstrate every issue. Shouldn't be hard to do if it's as described. If they're not convinced, I'm sure there are plenty of others there to compare back to back.

If they still won't do anything and its obviously not within spec, call Genesis customer service to file a complaint.

I’ve had it at the dealer several times and driven with them. They don’t think what I’m feeling is abnormal. I’m driving a AWD 80 V8 and unfortunately it feels very similar. Not what I expect from this level of vehicle. At 80-100mph I don’t want to feel excessive vibration. It feels just like a flat spot in a tire. Both vehicles, although mine is more pronounced.

They did not as far as I know. Could that cause vibration in my seat? The brand new v8 loaner I’m driving has a very similar vibration. Not as bad but noticeable. It’s actually the worse on fresh paved blacktop in both cars.

Based on the description this is most likely not a tire/rim problem. If the engine noticeably moves/vibrates; it's likely harmonic damper or engine mounts. I could safely stack champagne glasses on my my 2018 G80 3.3TT engine while it's running.

Why do you think the new one feels the same?

Huh? Did you reply to the wrong posting?
No I’m driving a brand new loaner V8 and it’s almost the same vibration but not quite as bad as mine. My 2015 was smooth as glass. If I put a glass of water in my current 2017 or the brand new loaner it’s clearly vibrating a lot.
