  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have 2016 Genesis 3.8 AWD loaded package. At idle in gear at a stop light I get an oscillating vibe in the seats and some in the steering wheel, seems to be a little less then I turn the A/C off. Thanks for your reply.

2018s do it too.

I have found that chucking in some fuel cleaner sometimes makes for a cleaner idle.

I have the same issue with mine, a 2016 Ultimate. Seems like it's not really an "idle" issue per se, it's that something isn't totally in balance when the A/C is engaged. Stop the A/C, engine idles so smooth you can hardly tell it's running.

ever had a shop or dealer diagnose it??

Do you see a difference in the RPM at idle with AC off and on? The compressor does put a load on the engine and they do not idle smoothly below a certain speed.

I've not had it in my Genesis, but other cars in the past had a rough idle with the AC on.

I've not had it officially diagnosed by my dealer, because mostly it doesn't really bother me too much. It seems like it's rhythmic, like the slight thrum of a large ship as it's moving along in the open sea. About a 4 second cycle. This is evident even at freeway speeds too, once you pay attention to it.
