Hello,
First post here. Bought mein bride a new 2024 GV70 off the lot. 2.5T Advance.
Since taking it home, with very light throttle position (not idle, not moderate throttle settings) RPM 1500-2000 there is a very obvious and loud vibration sound.
It is coming from under the left rear seat area. It is similar to the sound a cellphone makes on a glass table on vibrate.
I reported this to the service department at the dealership that sold us the vehicle. Here are the results to date:

1) Returned with ZERO repair attempted: claimed "cannot duplicate"
This was after they had possession of the vehicle for 2 weeks GRRRRRR
(They also drove 200 miles on it because they rammed into it and sent it 50 miles each way to be repainted TWICE)
When I took possession of the car back, I detected the sound immediately before I left the parking lot. I insisted they come out and ride along to listen to sound.
2) Took it back. Another 2 weeks go by. They claimed it was repaired and delivered it to our house 40 mins away. Shame on me, I trusted that they repaired it properly and let the agent leave with the courtesy car. That night I drove it and didn't back out of the driveway before it was clear that they AGAIN returned the car to me having DONE NOTHING AT ALL to correct this factory defect.
I texted the dealership that I am coming in tomorrow and leaving you the car to correct, and taking another courtesy car home with me.
Manager of service department and Service Shop foreman met me and rode along to confirm what I was reporting.
Shop manager admits there are other cars reporting this same issue. Admits he doesn't know what the fix is.
Again, promised it would be corrected.
3) Another week goes by and I am called to tell me its ready. The claim is a low pressure fuel pump line is vibrating by contacting the body under the left rear seat.
I drive back out to the dealership and they ask me for the courtesy car keys back. I tell them that I will be taking the car out to test to confirm that you have repaired this issue, as I have already been told twice that it has been repaired and, in fact was not.
This time, the source and the symptoms are identical with the only difference being it sounds slightly muffled as if they covered the source of the vibration with sound deadening material. When they told me the fuel line is vibrating with fuel pump activation, I figured they would isolate and wrap this point of contact and solve the problem at the source.
That clearly didn't occur.
I brought the car back to the dealership and refused the "repair." I was told I had to come back during the week as they don't have mechanics on staff on the weekend. Then I was told that the fuel lines and everything else where correct from a factory installation.
Expecting this nonsense, I said then I want you to give me the keys to an identical model and engine combo out on the lot so I can confirm that every GV70 vibrates loudly like this, knowing that was a pile of bullshit.
Denied. Said I have to have a tech come with you. Why would a tech need to ride with me when I confirm it does or doesn't make the same vibration as my car? Blank stare.
I left in the courtesy car and still have it to this day. I was told the same Manager would call me on Monday. The one who didn't call me ever the last 6 weeks as stated he would. Tomorrow is Friday.
I do not know what to do to get this addressed.
The dealership clearly is unable or unwilling to correct this factory defect.
I still have the courtesy car and the dealership seems utterly uninterested in getting it back or even contacting me.
It's a nice $90,000 GV80 3.5T Prestige Sport.
I guess I'll just keep putting miles on their car and paying for ours while it sits untouched at the dealership indefinitely.
----------------------------------------------
?????????????Does anyone else know about a vibration with 1500-2000 RPM light throttle on a 2.5T GV70?
?????????????What do you suggest I do to resolve this?
I drive my cars until they go to the junkyard and it's our first new car in 17 years. There's no damned way I'm going to just listen to this for the next 15 years.
My wife has driven maybe 50 miles in the car I was very happy to have gotten for her and this has been so frustrating. There is another dealership further away in this city and another one where we plan to move not much further. I don't feel they should be forced to clean up this dealership's mess, but I would like to see if they have better staff as we will be working with them once we move in a couple years.
