  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Has anyone considered doing a vinyl wrapped in matte black on their Sedan? I have a '11 4.6 in silver, but want to do something to set it apart. What do you all think?

I think you can get yourself some plastidip and throw on 4 coats one weekend day. If you don't like it, just like the vinyl, you can peel it off. Might be cheaper too... not sure.

My film supplier just started getting vinyl wrapping in. Even for headlights. You can wrap your desk at work, laptop, or even your wife, but don't forget a breathing hole:)

I think I'm having a minor stroke -- I just imagined a new R-Spec wrapped in Green Bay Packer film.

NNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

that is HILARIOUS! Or the old Tampa Bay Bucaneers logo/ colors!!

I'm not sure about the NFL team wrap, just a matte black or gun metal. Besides, if I wrapped it in the Texans colors I'd have to remove one quarter panel every time their starters get hurt. Money down the drain. I would tint my lights and do something with my ugly 18 in factory wheels. I had a red coupe with black racing stripes and black wheels...that I traded in. I am tired of looking like a grandma in my sedan.

BTW, umAlum, I do like that pewter color on Tampa's helmet.

Just had mine done, I wish they could do 90% of the car, it looks that good. No more bugs to clean off the paint, and no more stone chips in my paint. Damn she looks good!!

I tried downloading pictures to the forum, but I keep getting this stupid error message, and I don't know how to correct it.
Use tinypic.com instead ;)

Just copy the code in here - the one that starts with

Just applied matt black vinyl to the rear chrome strip on the trunk. Took me less than 5 minutes and no heat gun was needed, as the vinyl stretches very easily. Here is a pic. I may think this clashes a bit being my car is gloss black, so I may remove and order up some gloss black in order to match the car better.

Gloss would look better IMHO. I have some...but not enough to do that strip lol

Yeah, I think so too, so I'm going to order up some gloss black from my film supplier on Monday. not really liking the Matt black with gloss black, looks weird.

Just wrapped the ugly chrome strip on top of the hood of my Sonata with the Matt black and it now matches the factory grill which is matt black. I think it's an improvement anyway.
