Voice Navigation doesn’t work

My problem is much different than yours. I presently have 2 issues with the Navigation System. 1. The Voice Command for the Navigation does not function. 2. Once the engine is shut off, the Navigation history including the Home Address is deleted.
Not really sure by downloading an upgraded street map will correct this issue.

The update is not only for the maps but also for infotainment software ( kernel, firmware, etc.)

Upgrades usually correct past problems. How would you correct it? You can be sure the dealer does not have a tech to go in and modify the programming.

You are correct. He will check the system and confirm it doesn’t do what it’s supposed to. Then he will put a Ticket in to Genesis and wait for instructions. That’s what my technician did. I would make sure he knows about the software update and make sure he does it if you don’t want to do it.

What is the proper command for finding a business name in a different city state than currently in?

FIND ADDRESS modifier works for addresses, but not business names/poi's.

I find it easier to use the "Send To Car" option on the app. Voice commands are a PITA for some things

I should add, my car is a '22 stinger with the gen5w system (202205 update). The send to car option is available via UVO's highest plan ($200/yr - Compare Packages ).

I never subscribed to any plan to begin with, even during the trial - which just ended). Don't care for cars connected in this manner.

At this point, i might as well pull over and type in the destination as that seems to work. I thought the whole point of voice was to provide this functionality verbally.

I agree 100%, when you compare the Genesis navigation to Waze, Google maps, or even Apple navigation, the GV80 navigation is years behind. I commented a year ago, I would ask for a place by NAME, maybe 60 miles away, it could not act out this function. Ask Starbucks in my town/city no problem. Ask for Starucks in a town 60 miles away, impossible. I have no idea what good the function of the voice command.. Well I live in Canada, it doesn't work. Maybe in USA it works. As you say, if necessary you can type in an address, but voice, ?????

^^Thanks. THe main nav "engine" appears to be similar between all 3 brands with just visual changes.

I am in the US, ability to verbally search for poi name in a different location does not appear to be geographically restricted. Does not work anywhere .

What's the point of voice recognition then.......?
