  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi Guys, I am a new Genesis owner and so far loving everything about it. Is there a way to change the volume on the collision avoidance system? The alert that comes on when I have my turn signal on and it detects another vehicle. It is quite loud and I'd love to turn it down a notch or two.

Two options that may help. Change the settings:
The driver can select the initial warning
activation time in the User
Settings in the LCD display.
Go to the 'User Settings → Driving
Assist → Forward Collision Warning
→ Late/Normal/Early'.

Second option is to change your driving habits to prevent it from going off.

Not sure how the turn signal affect is unless you mean the blind spot detection.
RTFM 5-58
• The second stage alert may be
deactivated.
- To deactivate the warning chime :
Go to the 'User Settings →
Driving Assist and deselect Blind
Spot Detection Sound' on the
LCD display.

Thank you for the reply. I tried google and looking in the manual but didn't know what to look for.

I actually dont have any of those options that you mentioned. I have a 2015 - not sure if that makes any difference with the LCD menu options. But I did find a setting to disable the alert in the "sound" options. However, No option to control the volume level.

People gat distracted driving. Loud warnings is the way to go.

The 2015 Genesis does not have any way to turn the Blind Spot Detection chime volume down and the only way to turn it off is to turn off BSD. It is very LOUD and some volume adjustment would be nice.
