  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I’m going to ride mine out, after three years with it I’ve got 12K miles on it.

Mine only had 20,000 when I sold it. But reading the Audi Q5 forums and was shocked at the price people have to pay for parts and services. I just read today, I guy needed to get a motor mount and they wanted $2000 for it. I broke a tail light and they wanted over $1000 to replace it. Luckily I was able to get a mint one from a junkyard for 200 bucks and put it in myself. Simple job. The prices people had to pay for some things just shocked me to the core.

My front grill had a small puncture only noticed by me. Ran me $750 for the grill and $300 to program all of the cameras located in the front of my car. This is why bells and whistles are great, for the service department!!!!!

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED CUSTOMER.

I purchased a 2023 Genesis GV70 3.5TT Sport Prestige 7 MONTHS AGO.
Our first Genesis but 6th Hyundai product all purchased brand new but maybe our last.
After 2 months and 2800 miles of enjoying my Genesis, I was rear ended by a woman with No Insurance.
My Genesis promptly went into the shop and my insurance quickly approved repairs. That was 5 MONTHS AGO!

My Genesis has been WAITING ON PARTS FOR OVER 5 MONTHS NOW! 5 FREAKIN MONTHS!!!
According to the repair center all repairs are finally completed EXCEPT for a new BATTERY, STILL WAITING, NO ETA.
How can a car manufacturer especially one trying to be considered a PREMIUM BRAND not have parts available for repairs, ESPECIALLY A BATTERY?
Is it legal to sell cars without available repair parts?
It’s definitely not ethical.

I’m a Disabled Veteran that’s been without my NEW vehicle for 5 MONTHS now, since the woman who hit me was uninsured, I was not authorized a rental car.
You cannot over estimate how upset I am at this situation or how disruptive it’s been and I hold Genesis at fault for the 5 MONTH DELAY. If I had purchased the Lincoln I was also looking at, I’d have had my car back 4 months ago.

“SUPPLY CHAIN PROBLEMS” is NOT AN ACCEPTABLE EXCUSE TO YOUR PROBLEM. YOU HAVE THE PARTS TO BUILD NEW VEHICLES, THEN YOU HAVE PARTS TO REPAIR THE ONES THAT ARE WAITING, YOU JUST CHOOSE NOT TO.

Genesis's Response.........

Contacted Genesis Customer Care in mid-May, my case number: ########
After finally being contacted back the rep seamed eager to help.
Eager was just a facade, a large dose of procrastination is what awaited.
Missed phone meetings, scheduling all meetings 5-7 days out, no answers when we do talk.
Late in the day on a scheduled call day I called in, she said she hadn’t reached out to look for an ETA on my battery yet, that I was still THREE DOWN IN HER STACK.
So, I asked her, HOW MANY CUSTOMERS ARE YOU DEALING WITH THAT HAVE BEEN WAITING 5 (FIVE) MONTHS!?
She had no answer to that question or on my parts. She only had a week to make that call.

So, I’m still waiting, No Battery, No ETA, No Car and no patience.

What the freak pardon my language, are you sure you aren’t driving my Audi ? Just kidding as what you are going through is what we Audi folks go through. New cars are produced every day, yet we can’t get parts that should be in abundance to fix a major screwup on their part. I’ve got friends who have been waiting since October for parts and their vehicles are literally sitting and rusting. Yet payments are still being made and excuses more so.

I cannot imagine how you feel and I want to get my wife what she wants ( Genesis ) yet I’m afraid that if I do and there’s an issue, corporate will put us in the back burner like everyone else.

UPDATE:
Finally received all my parts and got my car back.
After 5 ½ Months waiting and making payments to Genesis Motor Finance they did me the “courtesy” of 2 Months of payment reimbursement.

I hope everyone who’s waiting on parts, contacts Genesis National Consumer Affairs at (833) 462-8722 and fights for some type of reimbursement. It’s not going to get your parts any quicker but they’ll probably care more about the reimbursement dollars than they do about their customers or doing the right thing.

Good Luck

I'm glad you got your car back and that Genesis reimburse you two months. That's great on their part, as they should anyways. It's the only fair thing to do.

Thank you for your service and enjoy the G70!
