  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I can not tell you how disappointed I was when informed the V8 would be delayed. I current own a 2004 Nissan Maxima SE, purchased in June 2003. My prior auto was a Ford SHO. I know that many people are in love with front wheel drive, but I'm very tired of steering torque. Because very few people mention this, I must be buying all the autos with problem. I will wait impatiently for the V8.

You need to push a car pretty hard for torque steer. If you ease on the gas, it's not an issue.

In most day to day driving, I care more about saving money on gas than running around like a jackrabbit, so my cars rarely spin past 3000 RPMs. Torque steer isn't an issue.

My gf has an '04 Maxima SL and when you go WOT on it the torque steer is horrendous! I want to get a 2002-03 Maxima SE with a 6 speed *drools* but what kind of SHO did you have? I owned a 1991 SHO+ and I loved that car so damn much! But at the age of 16 it was hard to keep up with the repair costs, and next to nobody around here would even touch the engine on it

Welcome, Bear. Thank you for signing up. I rarely ran into torque steer with my late model FWD Cadillacs - but it was there if you pushed hard enough. It didn't both me, however. You won't have to worry about that with the Genesis...
