Wanted To Check Out A 2010

When I last visited Western New York last May/June, I stopped in at one of the two Hyundai Dealers in the Rochester area. (Fuccillo Hyundai). At that time, not only did they NOT have an 09 V8, they never had a V8 up to that time.

OK, I stopped in day before yesterday, Oct. 4th, just to see what they had. Salesperson told me that not only do they not (yet) have the 2010, but they never got their first 2009 V8 until last July. Told him something is wrong as I purchased my V8 last January, and others had purchased theirs even before me.

Only reason I checked was because of the two car carriers I saw in Florida loaded with Genesis' while I was driving North.

If I have a chance, I will check out the other Hyundai Dealer in the area, just in case.

Will return to Florida in a couple weeks. Have to get out of WNY before the first snow flies.

According to their websites, Fuccillo Hyundai in Rochester has two 2009 Genesis sedeans in stock, one of which is a V8. Fuccillo Lincoln Mercury Hyundai in Schenectady NY has seven 2009's in stock, three of which are V8.

I realize that the dealer claim about the V8's was prior to July, but remember the first law about salesmanship: if it is not in stock, either they don't make it or we never had it.

I like that "either they don't make it, or we never had it". Sounds like when you have a problem with the car, and the service department says, "we never heard of that problem before", or "you are the first person to ever have the problem", or "we have not been able to duplicate the problem".

As for Fuccillo, I did not ask about 09 V8's. Only if they had the 2010 in yet. As for the 09 V8's, it was back in May that they told me they never had one in yet.

Think I will phone my Florida Salesperson to ask if any of those two truck load of Genesis' were 2010's going to them.
