In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. My 2015 has a few issues that I'd like to take care of but if I get charged for them, I can pass on repairing them. I have a 2015 3.8 Ultimate with 37k miles.
First, I have noticed my back-up camera is pretty blurry. My Kia Fortes had crystal clear cameras. Does anyone else have blurry cameras or are yours clear?
Second, the right adjustable bolster on my driver's seat seems to be leaking.(?) I set it to its tightest setting and after about a minute it is loose again.
Third, the seals on my pano roof look like they may be shifted/mis-seated and the roof won't close entirely on its first try. It will slowly close, stop and then reopen.

All three things are warranty work right? I was told I still am covered by warranty for another year, so I'd like to get everything fixed that I can. Think I will have any issues repairing these under warranty?

Thanks!

Should all be warranty. Camera should be clear. I imagine you wiped it clean.
I'd not open the roof until it is fixed. Just in case it does not close and it rains.

Don't know about U.S but Electronics Warranty is 3 years 60000 Kilometers in Canada.
My car will be 3 years old this August so I plan on buying Hyundai extended warranty then
to cover the Electronics & of course the rest of the car until 2024 or 160000 Kilometers
for $1505. The warranty is $100 deductible & if not used gives me a $1505 Credit towards a new car, tires or a maintenance credit. Other warranty option is until 2026 or 100000 Kilometers also $100 deductible for $2340
also refundable if not used. I drive about 1000 Kilometers a month & am currently @ 26000 Kilometers.

That is a reasonable price for the extended warranty if it's bumper to bumper and covers the radio head unit and all electronics. I will buy one as well before my 2015 ultimate warranty expires next year. Dealer wanted over $3K for it when I bought the CPO car last August which is steep.

Warranties are B to B with $100 deductible per occurance after the Factory warranty is up in August 2021. Prices are for the Warranties are deeply discounted as the Business Manager @ was the Salesman who I purchased the car. We are Buddies.

Any chance your "buddy" would do a similar deal with me even though I'm in Ontario? My 5yr warranty expires next year.

You will need the motors in the roof and the tracks replaced, I just got mine done. They will try to lube the tracks ,but it won't last long .Get them to replace them. Also get them to replace the camera, all of the Hyundai cameras are the same they go blurry then they will quit on you.

Are there warranties available for 2015 Genesis via Hyundai Motor America.
Its so sketchy and bits of information all over . I asked 2 dealers here and they offer warranty via their dealership only , so its not a hyundai warranty .

And even for that they quoted $ 3400

My warranty quotes are only good until the 3 year/60000 KM point.
After that an inspection would be required & I would have to pay for it.
Also the cost of the extended warranties go up too.
Hence why I will buy one of these warranties in August upon my cars 3rd birthday.

Why not try a few Hyundai Dealers in Ontario & tell them you understand there might be
some room for negotiation or discount? These warranties have big markups or profits for the Dealers.

Thanks for the suggestion. So far the dealer from which I purchased has quoted $4500 + the cost of inspecting the car and any associated maintenance required. They mentioned brakes needing to be checked which puzzles me since brakes are probably not included in the warranty anyway (a consumable item). Looks like I'll have to pit one dealer against another to get a decent price...

My "Buddy" gave me these quotes & said " I have to make $200."
HPP 8 YEARS / 160000 KMS Retail $3105 my cost $1505 + GST.
LGM 10 YEARS / 100000 KMS Retail $4140 my cost $2340 " .

Brake inspection is CYA. If you bought a warranty on a car with bad brakes and had an accident a week after, covered or not, you can be sure lawyers would be all over that. There is more to brakes than pads and rotors too but I don't know if those parts are covered.

Try a aftermarket warranty. It will cover a lot of items . I brought one ,just to cover the big ticket items. Paid $1000 for it take me up to 130,000km. I'm at 74k now but a t five years so the factory warranty is over soon. I'm getting all of the factory stuff looked at and replaced not fixed right now.

Where did you get your aftermarket warranty if you don't mind me asking?

What about squeaks and rattles?

Should be fixed before you buy. Some can be missed but should be taken care of on a service visit. Problem with some, they only happen when the temperature is less than 20 degrees so the dealer may never hear it.

look into EasyCare warranty as well. They'll cover things that are failing - meaning if it's operating other than as designed. Doesn't necessarily have to have broken yet.

Probably gunk in the sunroof tracks. Mine was doing this and it needed to be disassembled and cleaned of leaves and other junk. Works great ever since.
