  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis Model Type
1G Genesis Coupe (2009-2016)
I have recently experienced water collecting in my trunk (under the mat where the spare tire is) and in the floorboard behind the driver's seat in my 2010 Coupe. No sign of leaking around windows and all the drain plugs are clear. Has anyone else had this issue?

Yes it is a well known problem.
It gets in through the tail light to body seals. This is the most common place.
I have just had the problem on mine.
We don't get much rain in socal but this year has been different.
Good luck.
Dave.

Thanks for the info, but I can’t open the link

Sorry about that it changed I think.

I don't know what is going on but it changes the link when I post.

OK got it. The speel checker was changing "Genesis Coupe to" "Genesis Coupe"

Wrong it still did it. it should be "g e n c o u p e" without the spaces.
I hope this is the last try

Thanks for your help, but I still couldn't get the link to open. How did you fix the problem in your Genesis? I just want it to stop leaking!
Enough of this.
If you give me your email address we can try to work it out .
mine is "davebanyard@verizon.net."
This way I can send you some images which are worth a thousand words, so goes the saying.
I don't know how else to help.
Dave.

I was able to see the thread. As soon as it stops raining I am going to see if I can get this leak fixed. I really appreciate all your help. Love my car, just hate the dealer acted like this never happened before.
