Waterless Hand Cleaner...... wow!!

I was recently using a paint cleaner (first time) instead of clay baring my car. Don't know if I'll ever do that again as I feel the clay bar does what the paint cleaner does and doesn't add an extra step, plus the clay bar leaves that nice smooth finish ready for the next step in the detailing process.

I had missed removing some of the paint cleaner (be remain unnamed) as dusk was setting in. I noticed a few spots here and there the next morning, but, missed a patch on the passenger side door just under the side-view mirror. It was there for a few days and I did everything except take out my DA polisher to remove it.

Someone told me to try a waterless hand cleaner... as in GoJo etc. I took an old MF towel and dabbed a bit of it on the towel and rubbed it on the patch flipped the MF towel over and rubbed lightly as I didn't know what the hand cleaner would do to my paint...... whaalaa..... it was gone!! Paint was clean and smooth to boot......

I don't know if any of y'all have ever used waterless hand-cleaner, but, I just found a new use for it. I'm also going to try it on my exhaust tips and see how that works.

Are you talking about this Gojo product?

If yes I would avoid as it contains pumice. It's an abrasive that can do some serious damage to the paint if used agressively.

My suggestion is using something like Eimann Fabrik hi intensity cleaner.

No pumice in what I used. I'd never do that.

Keep me posted on the exhaust tips as mine are particularly dirty...

I plan on doing that within the next couple of days. Will post results here.

Are the exhaust tip surrounds (what I am assuming you guys mean by exhaust tips) actual chrome, or are they "plastic chrome"? I'd be afraid to use quite a few products on the plastic chrome but if they are real chrome, I'd have no problem.
