  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Last night i noticed a small piece of the protective film still remaining on my car. It was along the top of window on the passenger side rear door. As i was attempting to remove the film i pushed the weatherstripping back and to my surprise the weatherstripping popped off. If i chose to i could have taken out several more inches of weatherstripping going in either direction. I easily popped the weatherstripping back into place and the door seems to close just fine. I looked at the drivers side rear door and i was able to remove the weatherstripping as well. I was wondering if anyone else is able to do this or had this happen to them? I was surprised at how easily it came off. My experience with weatherstripping has been that there is some type of adhiesive holding the weatherstripping onto the door.

Yes this has happened to me on a 2009. Same place as yours - passenger side rear door. I just put it back, but it is something to check now and then to make sure it stays in place.
