  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Thanks for the pics Mac West. Much appreciated. I emailed Weathertech a picture of your installed rear matt showing that pucker effect to see if this is considered a manufacturing defect or standard condition that is not considered a defect. I will let you what they say.

Here is the response I got back from WeatherTech:

Hello Jeff,

Thank you for contacting Weathertech. I apologize for the delay in replying. We are just getting caught up on our email correspondence following a record high number of incoming calls over the holidays.

I passed along your inquiry and by all accounts, the pucker on that particular liner seems to be an anomaly. Sometimes it’s an issue with installation, packaging, or a liner with a minor defect. If you haven’t already, my recommendation is to pull the trigger – I think you will be very happy with the liners for your Genesis.

If you have any other questions, please let us know and we will be happy to assist.

Best Wishes!

Ms. Cory Martin

Most likely, you did the same thing I did. You have an AWD and the OP's link is for rear wheel drive. Clicking on that link bypasses the prompt for rear wheel or AWD so it was easy to make the error. I called customer service and they charged my credit card $109 only and shipped free the correct AWD mats. I returned the rear wheel mats at my cost for shipping and they promptly credited my card the $109. It was a pretty painless experience except for the $18 return shipping.

Thanks I will do the same and hopefully it will be a good turnout.

Anyone having issues of getting them to stay in place? The fasteners align with the hole properly, but come out too easily. They slide several inches forward every time. Once, a valet pushed the mat forward when getting out of the car and it pushed on the accelerator causing the engine to rev. Not good.

Ha - no, the carpet mats are gone. But I did just notice that I posted in the wrong forum as I have 2009. A little more digging shows that 2011 and later have two fasteners on the floor to hold in the floormats. Probably because they knew the 2009-10 models didn't work well with just one fastener.
