Getting familiar with the group...
"An issue with the passenger seat not going up/down"????? I have never owned a car were the passenger seat went up/down. I never had a passenger that complained about it. I have owned cars for 50 years.
Actually, the adjustability of the front passenger seat in my 4.6 Tech Pkg equipped model is very limited. May not be a big issue for most, but I did sit in it once while someone else was driving the car and I was surprised how relatively uncomfortable it was, compared to the driver's seat. No lumbar support either and no cooling option.
I'm sure Hyundai cut these features to minimize costs, personally I would have gladly paid extra for them. The Genesis afterall is a full-sized sedan, where driver comfort should not be the only priority, especially on the fully optioned model, like mine.
"Reserving" these minor upgrades to the Equus flagship does not make much sense either to me, but Hyundai obviously came to a different conclusion to keep costs and the price down for the US-spec model.
Hopefully, the next-generation Genesis--whenever model year it appears--will raise overall passenger comfort to an even higher level, from an adjustable suspension option to passenger comfort seating options to an extent that it doesn't undercut future Equus sales.
