  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

This past Friday we took a road trip to Dallas.

About an hour away from Dallas, I started thinking "Wow the road/tires sure are getting noisy". We soon hit one of the million road projects they have going on so I had to do lots of braking. As I did I noticed a very loud noise was coming from the actual car, not just road noise. We pulled into a nearby mall (1pm)and I looked under the car and the whole underbelly plastic covering was sagging and dragging along the road. In a panic I called several nearby Hyundai shops and 2 said they were booked up and couldn't help so I gave up and drove 8 miles up the road to Mesquite and told them of my dilemma and that we had an appointment at 4:30 an hour up the road and was hoping they could help me out. He told me he had 2 hour wait so we basically sat tight and waited. THANKFULLY and hour later he said we were good to go and there was no charge!!

So props to the crew at Mesquite Hyundai for helpin' a brother out.

As for the car, I'm hating it more and more daily due to all the failures it's having.

How many miles on it?

46,000 after the trip was over.

Sounds like who ever did your last oil change didn't re-install your under body panel correctly.
Common problem when the fasteners get fouled and the mechanic says F-it. good enough.
Can't really blame the car.

I went throught some deep water running down a curb after a hard rain and it peeled it back right behind the right front tire... lucky it wasnt as bad as your deal!
