  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Every once in a while, someone like me comes along and is compelled to ask a ridiculous question; so here goes.
On my 2010 3.8, on the front lower grill, there are two black opaque glass (or plastic) rectangles. Do they serve a purpose or are they just decorative pieces? I could ask my dealer, but why would I want top embarrass him with such mundane questions. Three weeks old today and just keep on liking it more and more.

I beleive that the sensors for the adaptive cruise control are behind there and protected by the plastic.

Correct. The change was made into 2010 models for the ACC.

As usual, gentlemen, my eternal gratitude. That explanation never occurred to me. BTW, lots of returning snowbirds from Florida, and when they notice my car in garage, well, getting lots of admiration.
