  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I'm an active member at two other forums (Excursion & Wrangler TJ) and they both have threads like this with ongoing, daily discussions of owners working on their pride and joy...figured I would kick one off here.

What did I do to my Genesis today? Detailed it! My detail began yesterday afternoon with a hand wash and it ended this afternoon with a wipe-down of some quick detailer.

I want to post up some pics but I can't upload them to my album...how can I upload it to the album?

Create a photobucket account, upload to there, copy & paste the IMG code & boom! Posted on the forum!

I had mine hand washed, a complete interior detailing, fully cleaned engine compartment, and an extensive drying that included the use of an air compressor. The bad news is 5 hours later it poured down rain

For pictures I like using photobucket as it lets you insert the images directly into your post if you choose and the picture size/quality is much higher.

I absolutely HATE it when that happens :(

lol yeah, that's the nature of the beast here in FL during the summertime. I see in your signature that you completely reworked your sound system...what did you have done to it, is it a base model or tech/premium? Thanks :)

Surely you know by now that car washing is what CAUSES rain.
^ This.

I gave my Genesis a 42-song dose of good ol' Bluegrass music, via my 16GB micro USB flash drive.

She needs a good wash, and I planned on doing it today... but the thunderstorms are starting around lunch, and they'll be on and off through all of tomorrow :(

This might be the dirtiest my car has ever been (since I bought it).

As promised, here are some pictures of my freshly detailed Gennie. :D

I'd be really happy if washing the Gennie brought some rain here to South Texas...we really need it. I do love seeing freshly protected paint bead water perfectly.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
And here's everything that I used to clean it.

Various towels and brushes and sheepskin wash mitts for the paint. And of course three buckets...one for the wheels and other really dirty areas such as the side skirts and two for the two bucket method of washing.

My products from left to right: Dodo Juice Red Mist Tropical Protection Detailer, Zaino Z6, Duragloss 901 wash soap, Stoner Invisible Glass, Optimum Power Clean diluted 3:1 (didn't use the full strength), Chemical Guys Natural Shine, 1:1 water/vinegar mixture for the windows, and a Homelite blower to dry it off after the wash.

And some high quality mf towels from The Rag Shack. Justin really provides some great customer service. I plan to order my towels from him in the future.

Beautiful car!
Noticed military base gate pass sticker on bottom left of your windshield.
“Thank you for your service!” May god bless you and all of our troops!!

Thanks!

That is actually the Texas Inspection Sticker but my father is former Army Reserve and I am in Air Force ROTC and will serve once I graduate in a few more years.

I counted the dings, scrapes and chips accumulated in a year of ownership and contemplated whether to get them fixed or wait.

I mounted the hood wings.. Looks amazing!!

Next on my to do list: Tinting.

Pics or it didn't happen!!
He he.. Once she's tinted, I will post more pictures.

I also need to find me a license plate frame, that matches my Titanium Grey Metallic.. any suggestions/links??

I'm still on paper plates but when I get the real plates in I was just going to remove the dealership frame and leave it frame-less...
