Beautiful ride! This was my dream color combination... How does the ride quality compares to the stock rims?

Ty The ride is actually still pretty nice. A little firmer than stock but not bad since the suspension on the Genesis is so nice. I was a little worried going from stock 18" to the 20's but very happy with the outcome.

I got the new OEM Floor Mats as the previous owner didn't care too much about keeping his/her car clean... The total with shipping was $100.91



Also, replaced rear break pads and rotors with OEM ones. $231.70 shipped + $95 for installation (Don't have time to do it on my own )

Very nice! Where did you order from? The mats in my car are Genesis mats but they're from a different year. The tab holes don't line up so they slide all over the place. Super annoying.

I gave mine a wash, clay bar treatment, and DA waxing.

I'd like those mats, my model didn't come with mats with the GENESIS logo, however my model being Right Hand drive the LHD mats won't fit.

Just an idea, the brake and gas pedal upgrade is worth considering, I got them and they look great and
easy to fit and not too expensive.

You should be able to get mats from UK hyundai oem parts source. I do like these pedals but my genesis has nothing in common with sportiness so it would not look good IMHO.

Enjoying my new to me 15 Genesis Ultimate 3.8, black on black. Sure this has been done many times by others but I got bored today so changed my wood grain to carbon fiber look, it's just a vinyl wrap and took about an hour to apply (my first time to ever try this), the 6 wood panels are mostly flat and very easy to wrap on the car. I like the wood and it's nice this look can be temporary.

Today I ordered an Sprint Booster module for my 2015 5.0. The module is supposed to reduce/eliminate the throttle-by-wire lag that slows the engine response when first pressing the accelerator. Reduced throttle response is good for driving around town since it reduces jerking and make the ride feel smoother. However, it sucks for when you want to just have fun or blow some doors off at the local drag strip like I will be doing soon. My 2015 does have a major throttle delay so hopefully the Sprint Booster works like it is advertised in my Genesis.
I will post a thread about it went it arrives and I install it.

I ordered the one with the Part No: SPRHY007 for our DH chassis models.

Thanks! Nope it was super simple, all done inside the car, never removed anything. In fact there is a nice groove around all the panels that I used my fingernail to form and mark the edge, and very carefully razor blade along the groove perimeter formed by my nail. I did use a little heat (hair dryer) on the large dash panel near the vents and nav screen.

Today I installed my Sprint Booster. The unit actually reduced the throttle by wire lag completely in all my drive modes. My ECO and NORMAL drive modes feel like my stock SPORT mode on the Sprint Booster RACE mode settings, actually they may be a bit more responsive than the stock SPORT mode. SPORT mode feels more like a RACE mode now with the Sprint booster set to RACE mode. The car is scary fast when using Sprint Booster Race mode while in the car's SPORT mode. Hell, NORMAL mode surprised me at first with the SPRINT BOOSTER set to RACE mode.

I actually now understand why Hyundai puts the gradual delay in the electronic throttle system, because the 5.0 engine is a real 420 hp beast when fully unleashed which could be very dangerous if the throttle was set this sensitive all the time. Gas mileage also take big hit in the wrong direction as well with Sprint Booster set to RACE mode. The Sprint Booster takes the leash off the engine intial output. Well worth the price for anyone that wants to make their 5.0 quicker without modifying the engine.

I also like that I can turn the Sprint Booster on and off with a simple press of a button.

Like I imaged the DBW is ramped up vs 1:1 so you don't snap someone neck with that 5.0 lol.

LOL. The Sprint Booster adjust the drive by wire just like I used to adjust manual throttle cables in my old pre-DBW engines to make the throttle more responsive at the drag track. However, I would not want to have this 5.0 engine set that sensitive all the time. The Sprint Booster make the Genesis feel like I am driving a Mustang GT or something. Fun every now and then , but not something I want do every time I drive the Genesis.

I tried the Sprint Booster out in traffic and it was like driving a Mustang GT set to track mode as that I had to barely tap the gas pedal to move without rocketing off to 40 mph into the rear bumper of the car in front of me. However, at the stoplight to a long stretch of road that becomes a two lane rural highway my 5.0 accelerated much faster than I usually do without the Sprint Booster. I was at triple digits speeds where I was usually at about 80 or 90 mph in my normal SPORT mode. I guess the Sprint Boost shaved about .3-.5 seconds off the 0-60mph. Not bad for a $260 tuner mod.
Note: The 5.0 active suspension seems to be able to keep up with the additional g-forces of accelerating quicker around corners with the additional throttle input, because the Genesis stayed hunker down even when I was taking corners much faster than I used to. This car handles really well when pushed hard in SPORT mode.

LOL. Slow? Boring?Not the 5.0 models. The car can do 13.6 second 1/4 mile time at the drag strip in stock form. That in itself makes the 5.0 models faster than most other cars on the road in stock form, including a lot of the V6 sport cars like the 350z. The car also can pull a .86g-.90g on the oval track depend on tires used, so this car put down sport car numbers. For comparison, a Corvette pulls a 1g with sticky summer tires. Most other true sports cars also pull a .90g-1g on the oval track.

I am not 55 years or even 45 year olds and love this car. Not many cars as sporty for the price. Yeah most BMW V8 engines are faster, but cost twice as much and are not that much faster. 1/2 a second quicker for the non-M cars at the most compared to the Genesis 5.0.

Here is car reviewer that took a 2015 Genesis 5.0 to a track in stock form to test it out. He was impressed even though the car is not setup for track duty it still did fine.

I’m not a bank manager but DO fall into the target demographic. There is a noticeable difference in the feel and response when driving the 2G 3.8 and 5.0. I had driven the 5.0 for several weeks before taking it in for some warranty-covered work and was given a 2016 3.8 as a loaner to drive for about a week and a half. Night and day difference between the two models. The Hyundai Genesis/G80 is a big, heavy car that requires some power under the hood to make it move. I felt the 3.8 was incredibly underpowered - especially after driving the 5.0 for a while. The 5.0 feels considerably more sporty and is surprisingly quick. I’m pretty certain the 3.3t now makes up for what the original 3.8 lacked in power and torque.

How long did it take to dipped them and how many cans you used? Did you do it with the wheels on or off?
