  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What did you pay for your brand new Genesis GV80?

$2500 below MSRP w/ discounts (not incl. trade, tax, title, registration, etc.).
2025 3.5T Prestige w/ 1st Aid Kit, off the lot, exact colors we wanted.

82k for 3.5 GV80. I think the sticker read $89k. IN so cal...had a trader in and paid nothing up front. 3 year lease

I guess all these responses are interesting, but it's impossible to know what was really paid for a new car when you trade in another. A low-ball on the trade can make a discount on the purchase price look like a real deal (and vice-versa). I don't know how sales taxes on vehicles work in the U.S., but here in Canada it's difficult to do better on a private sale of your old car because the 13% HST is then charged on the full purchase price of the new car. If you trade, you only pay the 13% on the difference. Typically the new car dealer low-balls the trade knowing you'd have to get considerably more on a private sale to come out even. I guess if you first negotiated on the basis of a cash deal and raised the trade only after you got your "best price" (and you knew what your trade-in was worth), you would have a better idea what you're really paying.

I paid 58,400 for a 2024 3.5 prestige with 11k. Blue with black interior

I am negotiating now on a 2025 GV80 2.5 Advanced trim so I find this forum helpful. Dealer is telling me that Genesis manufacturers stopped the dealer holdback 3% two years ago. Does anyone know if this is true?

I can't tell you that, but I did see an add yesterday saying there was up to a $2,000 rebate on the GV80. Or they might have called it Cash back.
My buddy was telling me his wife liked my car so much (A 21 Prestige) that she wanted to get one, but when she priced it, they were almost $90,000. Wow, I paid under $60,000 for mine. What inflation.

It seems to be that these vehicles are in such high demand, that getting a "good" deal or even a "fair" deal is going to be very hard. Most dealers will not negotiate because they know there will be another customer willing to pay markups and/or unneeded addons.
If anyone has a dealership that they feel was good, or great, please list them, to help others that want a Genesis.

I am going for my 3 year checkup tomorrow. I will be waiting at my dealer while they service it as that is how I am. I will count the new GV80 and let you know. The last time I was there, a year ago, they seemed to have a ton of them.. Naples Florida.

OK, I went to the dealer today and they had at least 35 to 40 new ones. Twenty five ready to go and about 10 to 15 in the back just off the truck with the white paper still on them. They only had one coupe and I assume that was sold. They had a load of GV70 as well.

Oh, this is the Genesis of Naples, Fla.

If you want the name of my salesman, I can get it for you. He spotted me today and remembered me from three years ago which is a good sign of a good salesman.

I took some pictures for you but this site does not like my virus protection or my duck duck go browser extension and I guess it blocks adds as well. I have tried to shut it down while I am on this site, but I gave up after putting about 3 or 5 hours into it. The tutorial here is worthless to me. I assume by whitelist, them mean safe site list, but nothing. The real annoying part is that I can not open others people attachments either.
I see why Sal is doing this as he need to recoup some money for his time and effort, but it a bummer for me.

OK, I got around the ad block thing by turning off my virus protection. What is good is I can tell it to turn it back on in 10 minutes in case I forget. Here are some pics

We paid $88,854 for the 2025 Genesis GV80 Coupe 3.5T E-Supercharger MHEV AWD in Malkali Gray. No budging on the price. At the time there were year end incentives (we bought mid-December) and I did have a trade in so this wasn't the out the door price. I think out the door (after trade in, tax, extended bumper to bumper, registration, etc.) we were $91,400 (approximately).

Purchased Feb 2025: Genesis dealer used lot, "$58,000" 2024 GV80 3.5 20,000 miles with Illuminated sills, Side steps & Advanced Package. I would purchase new but this vehicle was immaculate. I believe only the 60K/5yr new vehicle limited warranty and 36 mo battery/paint warranty pass to second owner. I'm having a challenge transferring ownership of record to me, but I believe somewhere between Genesis & my dealer there is someone who may fix the issue. Vehicle was not a CPO. I'm discovering that puts me at a slight disadvantage. I love the car, the jury is out on manufacturer/dealer/service relationship. Time will tell.

Bought my 2024 Alta white /dune Prestige 3.5, sticker price was 78.800, paid $500 sales tax (South Carolina law), added tow hitch $600 and autotech trend automated running boards $1900. Purchased in November 2023, have 16K miles on it and I'm very happy with the vehicle, ride is quiet and comfortable, technology is great.
