So I think I got a good deal. I ended up getting a used 2018 Genesis G80 Sport for 43.5k OTD (includes taxes, fees, and 1.5k trade in value).
The car was used a display car for executive showroom and only had 75 miles!
No you didn't. No Genesis dealer would sell a 2018 sport with 75 miles for 43.5 out the door. That's laughable. Someone remove this troll.
1) I went to a dealership that is nationwide. They have no reason to lie to me.
2) I looked at the Carfax report and everything checked out.
If you have something of value to contribute, please do post it but if not then I appreciate if you could stop posting claims with no proof.
It appears that your purpose is to try give a perceived devalue to our vehicles. So it's either one of two things happening. 1) You're being taken for a 'ride' by this dealer, and it's already been in a major accident (which we can likely help you), or 2) You are not adding value to this forum and being a troll.
I assure you not a SINGLE Genesis dealer on this planet would sell a clean 2018 Genesis Sport OTD for 43.5 (USD), with 75 miles on the odometer. The average State sales tax is around 8.5% + dealers fees, means that you are suggesting you paid under $40,000. That is absolutely laughable and not true.
Please share the dealership name that you purchased from. You said Georgia right and a national chain?
I should remind you that most Genesis owners are well educated adults. Perhaps you can go troll on the Honda Civic forum?
On a separate note, I was unaware that there are nationwide Genesis dealers. Are they coast to coast? Any reason you couldn’t at least share the dealer’s name and help others out?
I love my Genesis G80 Sport and I got a hell of a deal on it. I understand your post may come from a place of envy and that's okay. I hope you will find a good deal on a Genesis as well. I love seeing more Genesis cars on the roads!
If a moderator requests proof of purchase, I will gladly provide it. Until then, you should understand that spamming the board with your drivel really doesn't help anyone.
Best of luck on your future purchase!

Sir, if a $56,000 2018 Genesis Sport with only 75 miles sells (in any case) around the county for $39,500 + tax/fees as you have suggested, I will definitely NOT be buying another Genesis. I've never heard of such disgusting depreciation in any brand vehicle, and will literally run away from another Genesis and back to BMW or MB. This is a major cause of concern for a prospective 2018 buyer.
Did you perhaps mean to type $53.5k out the door, and not $43.5K out the door? Can anyone else confirm $43.5 OTD (taxes & fees included) for a 2018 Sport with 75 miles is on this planet of possibility?
Sure - https://www.rickcasegenesisatlanta.com/
It should be noted that this isn't an actual Genesis dealership but rather a Hyundai dealership that sells the Genesis brand as well. I imagine it doesn't make sense to have a Genesis only dealership since there are only two models.
To further clarify what I said - when I meant Nationwide, I meant that Rick Case Auto is very common dealership. I don't actually know if they are in every state but I do know that they are common in Georgia and Florida.
Let me know if anyone is interested, I'll hook you up with the sales guy I used.
Where are you getting $39,500 with taxes and fees? Look at my original post. It was 45k with taxes and fees and I had a trade-in at 1.5k which brought the price to 43.5k. You really need to relax man. I feel like are getting pissed of that someone got a good deal. It's okay. It happens in life.
Ah, your post reads " 2018 Genesis G80 Sport for 43.5k OTD (includes taxes, fees, and 1.5k trade in value). The car was used a display car for executive showroom and only had 75 miles!" OK, based on that math your're at a sale price of about 42K + plus taxes and fees, minus trade, to fall around 43.5. I'm not so much questioning the good "deal", however I am certainly questioning the horrendous depreciating that is happening here. A 56k+ sticker, and 75 miles later a dealer is willing to sell a "demo" for very low 40's? I thought you were spamming the board - but I apologize. I'm shocked at the ultra low price, but if you're getting this "deal" it's likely others may be as well. Any buyer paying over 50K could be a complete idiot based on this depreciation level.
