  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What did you pay for your Genesis G80?

The salesperson who works at the dealership as the costco rep said they had both engines available when I specifically indicated I wanted to drive the 3.3t/5.0 but we'll see. I have to go in person to see the costco pricing so making the trip either way. I would certainly appreciate the Circle A pricing if you would like to share. I did see the Poway dealership had some 5.0s advertised can always swing there--we have at least 3 dealers to choose from in San Diego.

I don’t think you will be happy enough with Costco pricing but let us know.

So, if a dealer quoted me $51k for a 3.3 G80 as a random guy coming in off the street, that's a good price? This is without incentives, apparently none of which I qualify for.

Yes, that would be a very good price.

As second owner, you're only getting the balance of the 60k warranty from Genesis, right? No valet or power train? I assume you still get access to the Genesis Connect features?

Otherwise, congratulations! I'm mostly deciding between a new 3.3 and a used 5.0.

Seems like a good price I fancy that color combo myself.

Yes you are correct, only balance of 60k, no valet or power train. And yes remainder of first 3 years for Connect services. I just got off the phone with Genesis and confirmed all of this as I am working on the having VIN transferred to my account.

Thanks! I wasn't 100% sold on the Gray until I saw it sparkle in the sun. I really like the interior the most.

A 2018 5.0 with 40 miles on it grey on black leather just came on at the dealership- they are asking $46,500 and it was a PGA car and says "new in stock" whatever that means. Seems like a good deal...

a lot of times those "40" mile type cars have a bit more. A couple weeks ago I picked up a 2019 Superbowl display 3.3T G80 Sport with <2k miles for 48k + tax, tag, title.

Be sure to ask dealers if they have any demo/valet cars they plan on unloading anytime soon - these are sometimes sold as new, with full warranty, etc. Also, you are few months away from 2020 stock, when I suspect you'll be able to pick up remaining 2019 new inventory for $50k.

New 2019 G80 3.3t Sport. June 28:

MSRP: $56,250.00 + first aid kit, bumper applique
Sticker: $56,370.00
Purchase price with Circle A certificate: $52,144.75
Sale Price with fees, tax, stamps, etc.: $56, 578.56 (tax was $3,194.95)
Conquest & military incentives: -$2,000.00

Total OTD: $54,578.56

Dealer didn't want to give me 1.9% financing and incentives. Fortunately I had printed out Genesis's policies from their web site, and dealer surrendered. I paid half down (no trade) and left with a comfortable payment plan, which I will pay off early.

And my driveway now looks like this!:

J D Power survey bracketed!

Question regarding Circle certificate- is it worth mentioning it to a dealer before driving there and then finding out they don't want to play ball? DO you play one dealer against another based on having the Circle certificate?

While most dealers accept Circle A pricing there are some that have not. It would seem to be best to make sure the dealer does unless you haven't done your test drive/research yet. In that case you might as well do the test drive and check out the car and when that is out of the way you can shop any dealer.

Proud new owner of a used '17 G80 Ultimate 5.0, Ibiza blue + ivory leather.

38K on the odometer, immaculate vehicle history and condition- $28,000 OTD (tax/fees included). Came from a '12 BMW 335i- couldn't be more excited!

I'm in the process of transferring ownership with Genesis connected services. I'm seriously considering an extended "platinum" warranty covering wear/tear, rentals, etc. Getting a great wealth of information on these forums though. Excited to dig in.

Congratulations. Good luck, enjoy and be safe.

By way of update, I got a 2018 G80 Sport with 8900 miles on it for $43k from CarMax (imported from Miami to New Orleans). So far it's been super fun to drive. They did a shit job detailing it before delivery, but it has since cleaned up well. No problem on highway on-ramps now. ;) Maybe could have held out and got a better deal on the 2019 G80 Sport that's been sitting on the lot for six months at the stealership, but decided to pull the trigger now. I'm very happy with it so far.

tuen in my 2011 with 127000 got 4000 and got a g80 awd 3600 on it. for 32 OTD.
