  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What did you pay for your Genesis G80?

$41,388 for Certified 2023 Genesis G80 Electrified w/ 10,800 miles. Includes NFC card and 3-years free charging at Electrify America. No accidents, clean service history, no outstanding recalls.

Original sticker MSRP was $81,625. I'm happy not to pay that depreciation.

I opted for the platinum extended warranty for 10 years / 100k miles w/ no deductible.
What was the list price? Just curious if you negotiated or not.

I wish I had read this before I purchased my CPO 2023 G80 EV and known about the NFC card option. Mine is a lease return and the leasee had registered the VIN with EA. The result when I tried to register the 3yr free EA I could not claim it. I spent "time" on the phone with EA and the selling dealership to no avail. Now I am paying for EA $.56/kW on road trips.

In 8/2024 I paid $23,500 for 2018 G80 3.3T Sport with 76,000 miles in Knoxville TN. With a 4 yr extended warranty

In 01/2025 I paid $51k for a demo dealer 2023 G80 3.5T Sport with 4k miles in Dallas TX. Has ~3.5 years of original warranty left and ~8.5years of powertrain warranty.

Hey. I like this idea. I'm going to make this a sticky so everyone can post up their OTD (out the door) cost for the G80...
2022 G80 2.5 Advanced
$37,995 with 15,750 miles and new OEM Michelin tires

It had been listed near 50k and sat for months on the lot, with the dealer slowly dropping the price by about 500-1000 every few weeks or so. I believe it was in the mid 42 range, so there was a little wiggle room on price there, but most of the price reduction was on the service and warranty add ons, where if you keep saying no, they keep lowering the price.

Just purchased (non-certified) 2023 Electrified G80 w/ ~17K miles for $37K. I’m looking for recommendations on long-term warranty. Would you mind sharing the brand of warranty and your dealer? 10y/100K w/ no deductible would be great.

A dealer in Chicago advertised a brand new one for a 2023 Electrified G80 for $49,925 plus tax and $1200 to ship to Florida - I was texting with the salesman and asked him to send me some pics - he never did. I emailed a dealer in Georgia to see if he would match the price - he agreed. I did the entire deal by texting with the sales manager. I then didn't hear from him for over a week before I texted him back asking if he still wanted to sell me the car. The car was delivered less than a week later - dark grey with ivory interior and is stunning. The brand new one in Chicago is still for sale for $1k less - white with the camel interior. If you're looking for a G80 EV than this would be the one to buy. The 2024 models don't have HUD which is my absolute favorite option. You can either say I bought a 3-year old for just under $50K or a brand new G80EV for almost $32K off the MSRP.

I tried to buy a certified 2023 locally with 4k miles. Their price was $61k and the sales manager said he would make whatever numbers work as he'd never seen one sell yet. I test drove the car which was amazing. Black interior is my least favorite and the car hadn't been washed since it rolled on the lot 2 years ago. I asked them to match the price and he came down to $58k - I walked. Another local dealer has two brand new ones (2023) for sale but wouldn't sell for under $58k either. And they kept calling me hoping I'd change my mind.

I really wanted to buy the new Jeep Wagoneer S EV but the car is been ridiculously problematic for new owners - many needing towing to the dealer within a few hundred miles of ownership.

I don't see the Chicago one, but I see one in FL for $38k and one in MN for $40k on Cars.com
