  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What do you do for a living???

Operations Manager at a financial institution.

Phil Collins in a Genesis? There's a joke there somewhere.??

I'm the owner of a video production company, (www.treehausvideo.com) But my wife primarily drives the car. She's a banker... well... sort of... she in marketing for a bank.

My wife just passed away of cancer and I have decided to retire. I worked in Community Service for a large Municipality. I bought myself a Martin guitar and a Genesis car. I liked the name of the car and thought it was an appropriate name for my situation. A new beginning.

Interesting...I figured with a name like that, you were a great drummer, and sang a few songs, too! (LOL)!!!

PS: And isn't it unique to know that he was a member of a band called.....(yep, you guessed it)...."Genesis"???!!! :>)

Sorry to hear about your tremendous loss. I can tell you as a former musician, that Martin guitars (from my audio engineering past) are incredible instruments--especially the older ones where the wood has 'mellowed' over time.

And Lord knows we all know about the Genesis auto....I've had mine for over a year, and it's starting to 'mellow' as well....and, in the words of Jackie Gleason..."oh, how sweet it is"!!!

First of all, condolences Wheatley, in the loss of your wife.

I am in marketing for Hospice. It is a very challenging, yet rewarding work.

It is not something people joyfully seek out, it is not something people buy, it is not easily understood. It is not something people even want to talk about, in fact, it is perceived as a largely dreaded topic.

Although no one can truly appreciate it at the time, Hospice is one of the most wonderful services a family can provide for a loved one, and (unknowingly) for themselves as well.

I love what I do and the people I serve!

I was a civilian flight instruction at 19, an FAA Air Traffic Controller at 21, learned computers in the FAA and got fired in 81. Went into software development and wrote some of the first software to trade stocks on the internet. Now I own my own company that sells, services, and trains on Interactive Intelligence call center VOIP PBXs. I love my Genesis!!!!

Acey- In January my Dad passed on to Heaven at 92. I have the UTMOST belief, regard, esteem and admiration for anyone that workes at Hospice of any sort. My Dad was in Hospice of East Texas for 2 great weeks and eased on in his sleep. His brain was sharp till the day he died, but the body had just given out. ALL the staff were kind, compassionate, caring and loving to not just him but all of our family. YOU are in a noble profession my friend.

Genesis: So comforted that your Dad benefited from hospice during his final days, and that you were able to appreciate the services provided to him and to your family.

Hospice carries such perceptions and emotions with it.... even my own family finds the topic, well...delicate, if not barely approachable at best.

So let me be bold, and ask of you...spread the word where and when you can....I'd love to see my position eventually eliminated, due to the acceptance of the idea, and hence, no need for me to have to market it anymore!

So pleased Hospice was there with and for you!

Hi: I am retired from the Canadian Armed Forces where I spent a 20 year career as an Airframe Specialist. I enjoyed a two year hitch with the Canadian Areobatic Team the Snowbirds (kiss the ground we made it). After retireing from the military I spent my next 20 years as a Armed Guard and ABM Tech for a well known Canadian armoured car company, lots of excitement. As you may see I think I may be an adrenaline junkie. Now I collect three nice fat pensions with not a care in the world and take to the skies at least once a week for some excitement. Oh yeh I am a part time Pilot. I also day trade on a routine bases, so far I doing pretty good.
I am getting the same great rush from my new Black/Black full load tech Gennie. I wash and polish that car almost everyday. Love it...
