  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What else is in your garage?

I'm sorry to hear that you think my daily driver is somehow at the opposite end of the spectrum from your imagintadore.

A bit of advice.... don't get the LARGE order of ribs! :D

2015 Genesis AWD
2008 MB E550 4matic with exhaust and tune
1999 Subaru Outback with 2.5" lift
1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited with 2" lift
2001 Chevy 1500 long bed (to pull the horse trailer)
2004 Infiniti G35 sedan (show car) on bags and a list of mods that would take forever to type out

HMM, what else sits in my garage or yard besides the '15 Genesis? Oh, and I built all of them. Only thing I didn't do was paint the truck or air brush the Tinkerbell.

2004 Chevy 1500. 6" suspension lift, 3" body lift sitting on 37" tires. Custom body and paint. It's the wifes toy.

1956 ish Cushman Scooter with a custom body. Dropped a 320Cc motor in it. Still working on it.

2013 Harley RoadGlide Ultra

1973 Chevy K5 Blazer. 12"F/18"R suspension travel. Sitting on 35's. My Baja/sand dune toy.

And for other times,
1/5 scale 2 stroke gas powered Losi 5T with a mod motor.

1/10 scale Avenger Blazer rock crawler.

Nice. Is it a FFR? Or Superperformance?

Always wanted to build a FFR, but have since gotten back into off road racing and playing in Baja and the sand dunes here, hence the Blazer toy.

OK, don't see too many of those around.
What motor do you have in it? 427 side oiler? ;)

You're right. There aren't too many ERAs out there. I'm probably biased but they're one of the best replica Cobras out there. I have a 428 in mine.

Sweet.

I think the top four, in no particular order are,
Kirkham, with an aluminum body like the original.
Factore five
ERA
Superperformance.

Kirkham, ERAs and Superformances are all very nice cars. If you want the car that is most true to an original, it's pretty hard to beat an ERA. There are far more Factory Fives on the road than anything else but they are in a completely different class. I've seen some really great FFs but I've also seen some really crappy ones. Their body shape is the least true to the original of the 4 you've listed although they've made some changes in the last year or two to get rid of the "perky butt." Two others that someone seriously considering a cobra should consider would be a Shelby continuation series or a Unique. Uniques are pretty rare but very well done.

Yea, FF got rid of the "perkey Butt" about 6 years ago. They actually took An original and scanned it and made a mold for the new bodies, so it's about as original as you can get now. Can't remember whos it was but I know it was a red one that set a speed record of like 198. I want to say his last name was Smith.

The Shelby continuations are mostly made by Superformance now. I know they get the bodies from them. haven't heard of Unique.

I've sen a few videos of Kirkham making their aluminum bodes, all done by hand. That was cool to watch. he also made one out of copper that was just polished up, no paint.

Went to a local car show around here one night, it was Cobra night. there were like 5 originals there along with some of the others we mentioned.

I unfortunately do not have a garage.

But I have my 2012 Genesis 3.8, which I've had for 3 months now.
My old reliable 2002 Chrysler 300m she has 248k miles on her
