What exhaust are you guys running right now?? looking to really hear that 5.0 v8

looking to upgrade my exhaust or possibly do a muffler delete or go cat-less. Any suggestions at all? I've watched a few videos of a muffler delete w the 5.0 but wasn't to impressed by the sound.

I did the muffler delete on my 2018 and it's shockingly loud. I think it sounds fantastic but it ruined the car for me. I'm likely going to weld the factory mufflers back up and leave it alone.

I would say do the delete first and run back with different mufflers, resonators or different pipe diameters from there. Plus it's easy to do on your own.

I have noted that my 2018 exhaust looked different under the car than some of the other 5.0s I had seen on youtube. And others that looked like mine.

This video at 0:09 shows a 2 in / 2 out resonator box that my car does not have. I have two smaller inline resonators about the size of your fist in place of that. They definitely made a change at some point.

Again, it was loud but I was really amazed at the snap and grunt of the sound. It definitely turned heads and got a lot of comments.

I'd love a bit more grunt at full throttle but don't want any drone while cruising with the wife in tow on the interstate. Posted a sound bite and asked for comparison, even PM - and got nothing.

Yeah I'm most likely gonna go with the electric exhaust cut-out. So that way I can control when I want to hear her growl.

Fifty years ago I could have helped. Have you ever looked at the demographics of the typical
G80 buyer? Most of us are a bit older and like the very quiet cabin.

I don't speak for everyone here but many of us did exhaust modifications in our teens and twenties, much less in our fifties and seventies. Probably 99% of us have stock exhaust.

You may do better with the G70 crowd as they are a bit younger and performance minded. Don't bother with the G90 crowd.

Just get a muffler delete and keep the resonators and get an x pipe to help with drones at lower rpm. Also look into flowmaster and magnaflow companies. Ill just replace the stock mufflers with theirs and keep the resonators thats at the end of the exhaust. I find a very great video for you here you go ....

You are right. Surprisingly even the wonderful G80 doesnt appeal to younger buyers. Dont know the reason why, Kia stinger and g70 has taken that lead.
