  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What is the safest way to clean the infotainment screen?
Is the screen glass or plastic?
I use regular glass cleaner sprayed on the cloth, not the screen. It’s a plastic screen.

Delivery Day Today for me. Well happy. Feels like Christmas

There were clearly some strange things going on with your photos, so I fixed them for you. ;)

Hahhaa I honestly don't know why they flipped when they posted. My forums been really glitched with messages lately 😅

Wish me luck for tomorrow. First trip in it....330miles over the Scotland Highlands in -6°C and a snowstorm. The most remote and longest drive I do for work 😅. What a test run 🤣. But if it handles that fine, then everything else will be a breeze.

Hope it’s fully charged. Put in snow drive mode (select custom setting)

Hmmm. Just spoke to my dealer who said it’s glass. He said Invisible Glass would be good.

Looks good. You have a Premium RWD I see. Have you got snow tyres or all seasons for the trip? What type?

Greetings from Switzerland.

UK in general doesn't see too much snow.. and tbf to Scotland. Their ploughs are well planned. Very rare to get caught out. So no snow tires unfortunately. Not too worried about the snow persay....more the distance and the cold pared with 1st time range anxiety over mountains and rural charge locations. I'm well prepared. Just first time nerves. 🤣😅 this will be about as worse as my winter gets. So is a great test run.

Random and probably silly question, is there an easy way to know if cars on or off whilst charging. Did my first charge and noticed the sphere flipped over but everything else seemed to stay on. Is that just a safety feature so as not to be able to move whilst charging. Just a tad worried about using 12V and going flat if that wasn't the case and it automatically switches car off while charging. Or should I be putting it in valet mode?. I.e. if you're staying in the vehicle whilst charging?

I’d be kinda surprised if anything outside of the windscreen/windows is actual glass.

But regardless, I personally would err on the side of caution, a plastic safe cleaner on glass will not damage glass, however not all cleaners are safe on plastic. Just keep that in mind.

No idea about Invisible glass, let us know your findings please!

Also....I know alot of people were talking about floor mats earlier in post. I figured would post a photo of my set....I actually got 2 sets of floor mats with my delivery surprisingly. One set from my lease company and one genuine genesis branded.

I got mine Monday...GV60 performance model. Love it. Only thing I have done is to order an official set of black floor mats to replace the beige ones which I will put in a closet.

The car is pretty quick to point out when you've got accessories running without the high voltage battery engaged.
Keep your foot off the brake and hit the start button a few times, pausing at each to notice how things differ each time. You'll get used to recognizing the different states by the screen and sphere.

Rolled it? Or is that just laughing at my photos flipping 🤣🤣🤣

On it atm....just at my last free charge stop... mileage is doing quite nicely so far.. we will see how rest of the trip goes.

First half of the trip.... 161 miles....58% charge used. Almost entirely Broads and Motorways. Heating on whole way. Av temp of 1°. Charged phone and watch. Snowed about 1/4 of the trip. Well happy with that. Average speed of maybe 55mph. Significant elevation changes with an overall efficiency average of 3.4m/kwh.
