  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What have you done to your GV60 today?

Looking to make your GV60 unique? Look no further than KDM Warehouse - where orders are shipped immediately!
This is what I did with my GV60 today.
Pothole took out the two right tires. Going a blazing 20 MPH while changing lanes.
Right rear flat. Right front sidewall torn.
I am actually feeling very fortunate that a tire shop was only 2 blocks away, and that they had tires in my size.
Arroyo Grand Sport A/S 255/45ZR20 105W. I had no choice. The ride home was uneventful... and the tires seem quiet and handle fairly well.

Hope, you’re okay. Sounds like a rough commute. Glad you were able to get new tires so quickly.

Yes, I'm so grateful that a tire shop was only 2 blocks away!

I'm fine, but I was a bit shook, but moreso floored and PO'd that the potholes in my town have gotten this bad.

I was (and am) concerned that parts of the drive systems, steering, alignment, etc. might also have been damaged. I will be doing some more driving tomorrow to check things out a bit.

Ugh...

Hopefully the tires took the brunt of it.

Got board this weekend and decided to add:

+ some additional information for the rear seat passengers (temp and time).
+ collapsible trash can
+ analog clock front
+ door sill LED panels.
Trying them out for awhile and all are easily removable 😁

Love those little clocks! Where did you get them?

All on Amazon under automotive. I had one in my other car for 3 years and it was always accurate and only needed to have the tiny watch battery changed out once a year (easy to do). These have a fait phosphorous glow if given enough light prior but aren’t backlit - not an issue as we mostly drive during the day.

Are the sills battery powered as well?

Are the sills battery powered as well?
The LED sills are lithium batt and charge with a usb cable (provided). Took about 30min for a full charge and seller claimed that lasts 1-2 months of normal operation.

They have a light sensor so only come on in low-light and shut off automatically when the door closes. Something like 16 colors and 4 modes of still or moving lights.

They are magnetically attached once you pop off the Gen sill protectors and I added a couple of inches of the 3M removable double-backed tape for extra hold and easy cleaning/charging. The whole installation is completely reversible and not permanent as long as you use tools that won’t mar the painted finish of your door sills.
** Keep in mind that when removing the OEM plastic sill protectors (easy to pop off with any automotive plastic interior tools) they leave 5 small holes in the sill where the plastic plate attaches. I covered those with black duct tape to keep any (unlikely yet potential) moisture from entering the sill cavity.
*** disclaimer, I’m not advocating that you do this to your own car and am not responsible if you mess up your own vehicle.

B/C the GV60 only has the only side mirror puddle lights for the doors, I thought these lit the entry very nicely. Plus it’s one of the few tags that show it’s a GV60 Performance version.

Any advice or experience with mudflaps and ppf??
Thinking about some added protection but not sure if it’s worthwhile.
I got the mudflaps. I thought they were pretty inexpensive at around $200 installed. They are very small, I had to look to see them. Somehow they are reasonably effective. My car is dark, so anything to keep the dirt off it is worth it to me.

I haven't done this but I am wondering...I have the Vik black exterior and I like it but I don't like the chrome accents by the roof. Has anyone had them covered? If you have...would you post pictures? Thanks.

Search I think for a Lime Green thread with blackout. If I find it I'll link it.

Here you go. The photos you need should be here:

Thank you. It looks so much better in body color. I am having a hip replacement tomorrow. Once I am able, I am going to explore doing the same thing. :thankyouspin:

I like to mount my phone where I can have some helpful apps up, (Like Waze to see traffic or my notes to have a list of errands I need to run etc.) and decided that this is a great mounting spot on my phone. Found this cell phone mount that works for me, but due to the slight curvature of the plastic trim, it wouldn't stay on properly... I took a bunch of pictures, modeled up and 3d printed a perfect fitting "padding", and due to the increased surface area of this little plastic piece, the mount stays on very tightly now! It's stuck on with double-sided tape, so I can still remove it if needed.

(Apologies about the rotated pictures... Also the 3d printed piece is the little grey pad only visible in the 3rd photo.)

Today I picked up my Alta white GV60 from getting full Xpel Stealth (matte) PPF, chrome delete (including the EKG zig-zag), blacked out lower valences, window tint, and blacked-out rear Genesis badge (deleted the GV60 badge). Really happy with the results! Olympic Tint in Koreatown Los Angeles. Tell Jonathan that Nick sent you!

I had a portable charge cable sitting in my garage from my last vehicle, and decided to swap the OE Genesis charger for it.

I now keep the Turbocord in the trunk, since it supports 16A/240V charging (3x as fast as OE), and got NEMA 14-50 and TT-30 to 6-20 adapters, so I should now be able to plug into just about anything available if I’m ever caught in a pinch.

The adapters will be kept in the frunk with my Teslatap, extension cord, and 12V booster pack.

I hesitate to say this because is OP's pride and joy and once you see it, you can't unsee it, but where the clamshell hood forms the fender and it meets the fender on the side closest to the door, it's ever so slightly misaligned. It probably wouldn't be noticeable at all if the color difference (black to white) wasn't so stark.
But thanks for posting the photos, I've ordered the black GENESIS logo available for sale via this forum, and I'll be having the chrome trim/lightning bolt wrapped in black to match the spoiler.
