  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I completely agree on the grill! Not only is it unnecessarily large for an EV, it’s too shinny, and it’s also too pain to clean. I originally ordered the Mauna Red but it was delayed months and once I saw the Vik Black, it seemed to diminish the oddly cheap looking large front grill. Otherwise, I love the rest of the look of the exterior and the interior is pretty lush and comfortable.

I don't love the grille but I don't mind it. What I do wish is that the chrome surround above the windows and doors would go away and be simply black (to go with my VIK Black paint).

The look of the grill is fine in my eyes...
It's the cleaning of the grill that I mind. It's got like ten thousand little openings for bugs to get slaughtered, and dirt to collect in, and each one is a b1tch to clean out.

I weighed my Chrome-moly lugs vs the stock ones and the difference was 15.63 grams. 111.39 stock vs 95.76 aftermarket. They also now use a 17mm socket vs 19mm. I can also swap the collars to tappered collars should I switch wheels which I am REALLY tempted to do.
What type of lugnuts are you using now? The aftermarket ones/

Debadged. Pretty much always debadge my cars, but it does have a lot of dead space now, so we'll see if I keep it this way long term. I have some custom badge ideas in the works too. View attachment 48416
I would never de-badge a car, especially a Genesis. It’s a quality car I’m proud to own and the name lettering and wings are classy looking. The only thing I have ever had removed was the dealer name, which I always make them remove. They look tacky and I don’t want to give them free advertising.

When there are multiple versions of the same car such as the BMW 5 series (530i, 540i and 550i) I like to take off the model badge if I have a 540 or 550 to make it into a sleeper car. But I leave on the brand name badge. (Of course, these days, I would prefer to keep the BMW model badges and delete the ugly cars).

Exactly! Another reason I don’t like the grill. Hyundai had the right idea with this supercool futuristic looking front end of the Iconic 5. Electric cars should have that look since they are the future. Not sure why they wanted to ruin the look of the GV60 and make it hard to clean. Modern and sleek is so much nicer than traditional, gaudy features.

I'd like to eventually black out the emblems/badge, black trim, and chrome delete the 'Z' trim on top.

Anyone find all weather mats yet? OEM seems quite expensive (>$300 right?) and I don't even see them available on the US accessories site... and not sure if the front is all one piece (which I think would be best).

This is literally the only one I could find, but have never heard of the brand: 2023 Genesis GV60 Floor Mats Interior Liners
I ordered the rubber Mats shortly after buying my car in April. The dealer called me a month ago to tell me they made it to CA but I haven’t heard from him since.

There are two approaches to EV design: make it look distinct (e.g., MB EQS) or make it look just like an ICE car (e.g., Genesis G80). I think Genesis is going for the latter so if one does not know Genesis cars, the GV60 looks like any ICE car.

My friend just got the Ioniq 5 and I love the look of it! I also really like the GV70 and just wish Genesis would also offer the wagon version they sell in Korea.

I wanted to test drive the Iconic 5 at the dealer in my home town but he wouldn’t let me take it out of the parking lot! I drove to another one 30 miles away to see the GV60. They wouldn’t let me take it on the highway so I floored it on the access road and scared the shit out of the sales guy. I should have test drove the Iconic 5 before I bought my Genesis since it’s a lot cheaper. I never intended to pay $82k (all in) for my car. That said I do love it but the payment is stressful!

It is IONIQ 5, no "C".

That is ridiculous. Lucid encourages its test drivers to go on the highway and open it up. Hyundai dealers need to get their act together.

I like my TuxMats
