  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What mats are these?

Are these stiff like plastic or flexible like rubber?
Flexible. They are made of Thermoplastic Elastomer (a flexible and rubber-like material that processes like plastic)

Anyone else having issues screwing their wheel lug bolts to the rear hubs? The threads weren’t catching. I thought maybe it was due to the car being so new but not sure why it would not screw in. I had to use a tap to clean the threads and everything is ok now.

Look all the metal shavings it cleared out.

The tire shop that did my wheel swap had the same issue on pretty much all 4 corners. It was just extremely tight and very hard to catch the threads.

When I changed from winter to summer wheels, the tire shop had the same problem on the rear wheel. However one guy in the shop said the disc got misaligned, or something like that. I think he released the brakes, realigned the disc and then things were Ok.
I do not quite understand what happened. It seem there are concentric discs that have to be aligned. Would love to understand it better.

Once the wheels are off, put the car in neutral. this is what I needed to do when the rotors became misaligned with the hub. This will loosen the rear axle, and you can turn the rototrs on the hub. I had removed the small screw that held the rotors to the hub. Genesis said it is normal when I told them about this during a service.

Putting the car neutral after I chocked the wheels is what works for me. Also make sure the ebrake is off as well.

Amazingly I had absolutely no issues when I removed all 4 wheels to take to the powdercoaters. Had it on jackstands for a night and put em back on the next day. No issues at all with lining up the holes.

Debadged. Pretty much always debadge my cars, but it does have a lot of dead space now, so we'll see if I keep it this way long term. I have some custom badge ideas in the works too. View attachment 48416
I just ordered a front hood Genesis wing badge to replace the trunk Genesis letters on the trunk.
Have you considered doing this?
Also what’s the best way to remove the Genesis letters on the trunk?
Thanks

How did you remove the letters from the trunk?
After dipping how did you replace the foam tape to reapply the letters?
Thanks
I used PlastiDip, or dip your car. It is just sprayed on while the letters are still mounted. takes a few hours, masking and time between coats. It has lasted for over a year so far. Others cars I have done it to have lasted for years. The products I used are not the only ones out there, there are others. Good luck.

heatgun (not too hot) or hair dryer first and then thing fishing line or floss behind to take off the glue.

I would like to remove the Genesis letters from the back and replace them with the same logo as the front.
Where can I get a suitable logo and would this even fit?
Thanks
