  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I just bought my Sedan yesterday and so glad I did.
When I was finalizing and signing the paper work the lady told me I made a great choice.

I went with Black paint and Cashmere interior. They had to go 100 Miles out to find a dealer with the combination (without premium features).
She mentioned its one of the more sought after interiors and that it's held its value more than the others.
Not that I really care because I picked it for eye appeal and having had Black leather interiors on my previous two Gen Coupes I wanted a change.

But that's also great news as the Genesis Sedan holds its value very well as it is, just a bonus that the Cashmere/Beige interior ads to it.

cashmere in mine

I have the Cashmere ineterior and the leather after only 2 1/2 years of ownership, (especially the drivers seat) shows bad signs of wear that I'd not expect to see in a car with "Premium Leather". I maintain the seats with Lexol cleaner / conditioner products and my other vehicles leather still looks practically brand new, no cracking, fibers sticking through the seat etc. When I get my next Genny it will be with the Saddle or Black leather interior, at least then it will be harder to notice.

On a side note the dealership as a "good will" gesture is replacing all the leather on the upper and lower seating surface. First signs of wear on factory seats started showing up at roughly 22k miles, was reported and the dealer made note of possible replacement at a future date. Now at 43k miles it has been ordered, I will take pictures showing the wear over the next couple days and post them here.

I love my cashmere interior and black exterior.

There is a rare Black and Brown/Saddle that I have. See pic:

Gotta go black on black, only way to fly!

OneFunGenesis - I like that color combo - looks different

Dan - you will love the car. I've had mine for about 5 months and still absolutely love it. Congrats!

OFG...hmm...that is rare, never seen that one before. I love my saddle interior. The saddle seats really do look "rich", I've gotten complements on the color from nearly everyone that's ridden in it.

I have Saddle and Black in my car, everyone loves the color and says it's unique compared to the typical black leather you see in a lot of cars.

Lower middle class black on black. Sorry, inside joke from another thread.

I ended up getting the protecting for the leather. So it will cover any repairs, whether accidental or due to wear. Paid a little more for it but with the color and how much it shows I figured whats another couple bucks. I'd spend more in cleaning/repairing myself/at a shop.
Yeah I love it man, just want to drive it. I wish I bought it at the start of my vacation I would have gone on a road trip, too bad I go back to work tomorrow.

Really nice color combo :) ....have you thought about hard wiring your radar detector to the mirror's power?

No question a clean black car looks great, they are just so hard to keep clean, dust, etc. I had a black Camry many years ago with the same color combo and it was sharp without a doubt. I have black interior now on my 2012 and like the switch as my old car had tan interior and was ready for a change. So far really enjoy this car.
