  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello and thanks in advance for any information.

I bought what is titled as a 2013 Equus signature from a huge reputable dealer. The car did not come with an owner's manual. When I download a 2013 manual, the features look different from the ones in my car, however a 2012 manual matches. The VIN plaque shows a manufacture date of 9/12. Hmmmm
One other thing....there is a room lamp out in the front. Are they easy to change?

Again...thanks in advance.

With a manufacture date of 9/12, more than likely it is a 2013. The 8th digit of the VIN will tell you. If it's a "C", it's a 2012. "D" would be a 2013. Easy way to tell the different between the Ultimate and Signature is the TV/s. TV in the back, it's an Ultimate. Without, it's a Signature.

Thanks. I kinda knew it was a '12 but wondered why the difference in the manuals.
