  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

That's the gap they put in to allow the road-sensing mirrors to tell when the road is wet.

You could fill that gap with pieces of carpet and expanding foam.

If wheels/tires are boxed in too much then the brakes cannot get air flow to be cooled. I would not cover any holes or gaps near the wheel wells.

It's called wheel clearance. For some reason, engineers apparently think it's important to provide space between the wheels and body components (even at the risk of appearing cheap or deficient).

If you've ever driven in freezing snow and ice, you might understand why there is some space there.

Drop the car on coilovers or airbags.
Wheel gap exists on all cars. Some are better than others. Sports cars typically have less gap than luxo sedans.

What a strange and bizarre question !!:confused::confused:

That gap exists to allow one to clean the wheel-well while properly washing the car, which by all appearances you've not done in some time.

That space could also be convenient for smuggling illicit items. Customs inspectors, police, etc., would never think of looking there.

Guys please look to picture well, i dnt mean gap between tire and wheel well i mean the gap beside tire, i can see exhust line through it!!

That's the right rear tailpipe inspection port!!!

I would say that this tread is rather odd, but if I may add to the OP this visual that you happen to see at this particular angel nothing more other than the space from the subframe and the exhaust.

If I may ask the OP, did you take your car to the deal and ask the same question? I truly would like to know the dealers reply.
