  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I am hoping that someone on this forum can tell me what this sensor might be for. The car was in a minor front accident, they replaced the fender but didn’t replace the fender liner or fix this sensor thing. This is on the driver side, I took off the passenger side liner and was hoping to see the exact same sensor, but passenger side is different.

There is no part number on this sensor, as it looks like some of the plastic housing is missing. I unplugged it to see if something on the dash would light up, no luck.

It looks like a proximity sensor for parking. Looks like it connected to those round dots on bumpers (I do not know if your car has them).

Unfortunately this is a base model that doesn’t have the front and rear bumper sensors.

I figured it out, Anti Theft Alarm Warning Buzzer 95710-1R000 OEM for 15-16 Hyundai Genesis Sedan. This is also the same part for the 2013 like I have. $40 on eBay, $125 dealer.
