What version of Windows CE does the tech package run?

I'm interested in running custom navigation software on my 09 Genny 3.8 tech. Does anybody know what version of Windows CE that would be on it?

A couple people on the Genesis Coupe forum found out that if they rename the explorer.exe file from windows CE to install.exe and then run the map update they can get a windows desktop on their navi screen. From there they can run different navigation software, OBDII outputs, and custom skins.

I'd like to do this with sedan but the files they posted are not working. Everytime I try to update from USB with the modified install.exe file I get USB not recognized.

Anybody want to help?

I'm not sure what version it is but have you tried to go into the engineering mode and look at all the stuff there?

I don't think the coupe and the sedan with tech pkg. run on the same software. The sedan with tech has to be updated by dealer. The coupe's update software is available for purchase online.

Yes I've looked into the Engineering menu, couldn't find anything there.

You're probably right but why have an option to update firmware from USB? I'm thinking this could be done and willing to try on my car first and take the risk of bricking it.
