  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

window tint? does that count anymore as a mod??

I guess our first was the emblems, but it came that way from the dealer. So we are working on the interior, specifically getting all the interior lights to match and getting the lighted door sills.

already did window tint, debadging, and wing logo.
next mod will be eibach pro kit springs.

Within 10 minutes, I ripped off all the dealer marking, plate frames and tags. Does that count??

Heck yes! Ten minutes to admire the car, congratulate yourself for getting such a great car, and then rip off all the dealer crap! Sounds about right! :D

So what's next? I went for wheel caps and trunk badge, illuminated sills, and a LED unit for the glove box. :D

Oh Yeah!
I did wheel caps too!

Hey Dick, I'm in Tustin also.
I'll keep an eye out for you.
I'm a black pearl with beige, V6.
cheers.

I must admit I admire all your answers. I guess I'm really old school though. When I first saw the wing badge, I told my salesperson I had to have one, then realized it has the nane of the car on it. Well for me, I like the way the name of the car is already placed on the lower right corner, and to add it a second time would be overkill, as with the hubs. Now the lighted sill is another thing all together. When I was invited back to the dealership to test drive the V8 and saw the lighted sill, I LOST IT!!!!!!! Needless to say they are ordering the parts for me and doing the install. I am also having some modifications done to the stereo system just to bring it up to my standards. I really like the fact the car has a certain mystique to it, so I quess in a nut shell that's why I'm keeping it mostly unchanged.

Hope you arent paying too much to have them install. This is a 30 minute job at most all the way around.

Yes. member Genesis@genesisworld did this and has a whole writeup about it. Ill see if I can find the link

Ambient lighting is certainly a very nice interior mod..

As for upgrading the stereo system... Ric! Some people like to FEEL their music. I'm guessing RacerX is looking for more bass.. I'd probably leave it as is - but I can definitely understand why he's want an upgrade.. Some people just like having LOTS of bass.. I used to be one of them. In fact, I still am - I just don't bother with it anymore...

So far I've upgraded to a 10" DVC JL Audio subwoofer in the back. I'm just going to put a CAI and that would be it. I already have a car that is a little on the insane side for more power. I'd just want to optomize the car for better gas milage and maybe a little more pep. I do wish they'd offer a sport mode and let the engine rev to maximum rpms in the manual gear mode.

You replaced the stock subwoofer? Or is this an addition?

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Did you also put ambient lighting under the dash and footwells? That is what I am looking to do to my car,but was wondering if it has been done yet.
Not sure where to get the appropriate kit for this.

Thanks

I put 18" TSW Mondello's on my black 4.6 w/tech package. Next will be the logos front and back and the chrome pillar posts. Quick question does anyone know what logo'd center cap would fit these wheels better? The ones for the 17" wheel or the 18's.

As a replacement to. You don't add a smaller sub to a bigger sub unless you REALLY want to ruin the smaller one. The bigger sub will just simply overpressure and over travel the smaller cone. It will eventually destroy it.
It just add a wee bit more base. I would add a full on EQ in the stereo if given a choice, the base stereo isn't that great for tuneability.
thank you
