  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey there guys, I'm new the forums and wanted to get some advice. I was looking into purchasing a Genesis but I'm very stuck on which one. I love the 2 Door Coupe because that's all I'll need and I was looking into the 3.8L version. I did see the Sport version of the coupe has a sports button which is pretty cool. But then there's the fancy Genesis Sedan in the 5.0L V8. With 429HP, I feel like this is everything I wanted. I currently drive a 2.4L Dodge Dart and I want something a little more fun to drive and that'll deliver enough GForce to push me back in my seat. I did hear the Genny Sedan can beat SS Camaros, but I was also considering a SS Camaro near me for a similar price of the Genny Sedan.

All and all, I was looking forward to your guys experiences with the Genesis Sedan and Coupe. Does the Coupe have enough G's to push you back in your seat with the stock 375HP? Does the weight of the Sedan not deliver that throw back experience either? I'd appreciate your feedback.

I have a 2012 5.0 R-SPEC and a 2010 Coupe 2.0T (Full bolt-on & tuned). They are 2 totally different experiences-
The 5.0 is fast, comfortable and can handle great with the help of wider wheels/tires, but the seats aren't up to the task, so hold on!
The Coupe can be had with a manual or automatic, is also fast, rides reasonably comfy and handles very well! The front seats are fantastic, but the back seats are only reserved for very small children or people you don't like! If your windows aren't tinted they will also get their necks burned as they expose them to the sun because of a lack of head room.
My 5.0 is my daily, but I love my Coupe too.
