  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I love my car so much but today I hit a curb and damaged both wheels on the passenger side. I am just sick. Does anyone here know of any trick to rub it out or make it look less damaged?

Chances are you won’t be able to do anything with it but a wheel shop certainly can. Usually it’s under $200 a rim if it’s not too bad.

I had a guy here in WNY repair some curb rash for $125 on one of my wheels, did a great job.

A quality wheel shop can do magic. Not miracles, but hard to believe repairs and welding.

Just get them fixed, or buy a new rim. You bought an expensive car, and should be able to afford maintenance on it.

I had my curb rashed 21inch rim fixed in New York for $125. I dropped the car off in the morning and picked it up in the afternoon. You cannot tell it was damaged. The shop I used was Wheel Warriors in the Bronx, NY Wheel Repair | Wheel Warriors | The Bronx

WOW, thanks for the tip. Money was never mentioned in my post. I was looking for the best place to have it fixed.

I mean, I understand it sucks. However, the damage is done, and either it’s lightly scratched so you can have the rims fixed, or it’s more severely scratched or bent, in this case you would replace them. You can always just keep them as is, buy a new set of rims and snow tires for the winter, and worry about fixing either during the winter or next year. Any well rated rim repair shop will be able to help you out.

Or what I would do, take this opportunity to upgrade the everyday wheels and tires and save the damaged wheel set for winter tires, if geographically appropriate for the OP.

My wife damaged her wheel and we live in WNY. Can you give me the name of the place you used? Thanks.
