  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know where I can order wheel locks for a 2022 Genesis GV70 with 21" tires?

Thank you

Jonathan

It looks like you can order through the dealer. It's on the website, so I assume it's at the dealers also.

Although, my car came with wheel locks.
I thought it was standard. Maybe I'm wrong?

Mine also came with my '18 G80 Sport. Three or 4 months ago I was having some curb rash removed which required access to my locked wheels. I gave them the package that the unlocking lug-nut. Picked the car up at the end of the day and didn't check to see if I had my unlocking lug-nut back.

When I got home, I looked for it and couldn't find it. This was on Friday and the shop was closed for the weekend so I got a little worried. When I bought the car in '18, there was a registration for the locking lug-nut that I sent in to whatever company the set came from. Not Genesis. I got the impression the company would NOT send me a replacement unless I provided some ID info about the registration (serial number). I did so and I got a replacement. I think it took about 10 days and cost around $10-$15.

Without the original unlocking lug-nut, I would have been up the creek if I had a flat tire. The dealer who did my road rash repair put the damn thing in the small pocket in the driver's door (handle to close door).

Actually there is several ways to remove the lug nuts WITHOUT the key lug-nut, but they destroy the locked nut. Youtube has a few videos as to how to do this and ANYONE who knows what to do, will NOT be kept from stealing your wheels almost as fast as if they didn't have the locking lugs.

Yes, same with locking your car. It keeps kids younger than about 12 out of it. The pro still gets what he wants.

Mine came with the locking lug nut and my local tire store said a matching key was available at most auto parts stores.
When I had my new wheels installed I drove home and discovered the lock key was not in the car. I immediately returned to the store and the mechanic had it on his tool box and gave it to me.

I took mine off and put back the normal lugs. I believe that it was going to be more of an inconvenience to me than it was going to be to any would be wheel thieves.
