Wheel Spacer question

Hello all, I have a 2016 3.8 AWD and I am considering spacers to bring the wheels just slightly out and more flush. I currently have the stock 18s installed and also have stock 19s that may go on eventually.

Question is, how do I determine what thickness of spacer I need to get the flush look I'm going for? Has anyone installed spacers on our cars, didn't find anything in the search. Much appreciated!

Got a 4' level? Stand it up and lean it against the fender. Make sure it's level then use a tape measure and measure from the inside edge of the level (closest to wheel) to the outside edge of the tire. That's the size spacer you'll need.
Keep in mind, depending on how big a spacer you need, you might have to get longer wheel studs or buy a spacer with studs.

I don't have spacers, but my wider rims with lower offset are almost flushed with fenders. So.... using online calculator willtheyfit.com, I put OEM specs and compared them with aftermarket wheels specs.

Front OEM wheels (rims) are 19x8 offset 40 .......aftermarket 20x9 offset 32 ......the new rims will poke out 20.7mm ..... I would get 15-20mm spacers for the front.
Rear OEM wheels (rims) are 19x9 offset 49 .......aftermarket 20x10.5 offset 45 ......the new rims will poke out 23.1mm ..... I would get 15-20mm spacers for the front.

Personally, I'd put 15mm good quality spacers like H&R's and longer studs or spacers with studs, just like @NSXNEXT said.
