  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I'm trying to get a summer tire + wheel combo for my 2009 Genesis 3.8 sedan with Tech package. I have OEM 18" wheels and want to go down one size. The car came with 17" and 18" as options but the 18" wheel seems to have 3 different offsets. Not sure which one is on my car, is there any way I can find that info without taking the tires off?

Also, when I pick a wheel do I just go by factory spec for 17" since most other aftermarket items seem to introduce negative camber when compared to OE spec 17" wheels. Thanks for your time!

Do you have photos of the wheels?

For aftermarket wheels, assuming stock suspension, I'd probably go 10-15mm lower offset compared to your oem wheels, as this would appear to fill out the gap between the top of the tire and the fender.

If you arent familiar with how wheel widths and offset works, once we figure out your current wheel specs, and then see what model/width of the new wheels you're aiming for, and see what offsets would be best.

Thanks for the reply, however since it took awhile for anyone to reply I went ahead and bought some aftermarket wheels. It has been a week and so far things seem to be okay!

Nice, post some photos and specs!
