  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey all. I've been shopping for some new wheels and tires and have a few questions for those that have gotten new wheels. I have a few potential sets that I found on FB Marketplace that would like some advise if they will fit.
The first set is a square set up up 20"x10" with a 25mm offset with 245/35/20 tires. I know some of you are already running 20"x10" in the rear without any problems but I'm curious if the 20"x10" will fit in the front.
The second set is 19x9 offset 47 for the front, 19x10 offset 30. Although staggered it is 235/35/19 all around.

Thank you all in advance for your input and sharing your experience.

Nice to see some lexus's as your favorite car...

THe first set..... offset seems to be a little low, which means wheels will poke more - front about 34.1mm (you might got away with it) and the rear 36.7mm probably, they will poke. Some people like it and some don't...I know, I don't like it, lol

See screenshots below.

The tires are way to narrow for those rims, though. I don't like the stretch either.

As for the second set ...... the front look pretty good, but the rear 19x10 offset 30 might be a little bit to poke. Tires 235/35/19 on 10'' width rims? NO!

Thanks. I always appreciate your detailed feedback. Can i ask what your wheel set up is? Offset, size, and width?

Of course. I see you own one of my favorite cars period. 1999 GS400. I bought a a 2000 GS 300 last year as a daily driver to keep my miles down on my Genesis and I loved that thing.

The wheels are VELGEN VMB5 Matte Gunmetal in 20×9″ et35 front and 20×10.5″ et45. Tires are NITTO555 255/35/20 and 285/30/20

Car is lowered on ARK GT-F springs, about ¾ inch on all corners. No rubbing at all.

I was wondering if the G90 wheels would fit the G80 Sedan?

They should fit in.....both cars comes with a staggered setup, front 19x8.5 and rear 19x9.5 I'm not sure about offset, but it might be the same for both.

Is it me but it seems there are hardly any wheels that looks good on this car. Or at least I have yet to find something that is not outrageously priced.

Thanks again for the info. Those wheels look great.

When you went from the OEM 19"'s did you notice any change in handling after you installed the 20" set up you have now? I currently have the OEM staggered 19" with the ARK GT-F springs but still feel that the car can improve with the handling. I want to upgrade the wheels for more than just aesthetics being that there are not many options in regards to coil overs or other springs for our car. Thanks in advance.

Well, it's really hard to tell, since the new wheels are bigger with much lower sidewalls, and high performance tires vs. all season tires. Yes, the handling has improved a little. The comfort in ride is different, it's little bit harsh compared to OEM setup, you can feel almost every crack/bump, etc. on the road, and more tire's noise. Wheels looks nice, though, I like them....but I think, if I'd be looking for a new set of wheels, I'd probably go with 19's, staggered, with /40 on front /35 in rear.
