If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello Everyone,

I'm new to this forum. One month ago I purchased a 4.6 Sedan, Black. I have rebadged the entire car, added a sunroof wind deflector, splash guards, etc.

I have tried four different sets of wheels and I can't find a manufacturer for 20-22 inch wheels that will clear the front brake calipers, and I don't/won't use a spacer. All four companies that sold the wheels indicated on their web sites the wheels would fit the car. None of them did, and they won't clear the large front brake calipers.

I'd like to offset the front and rear wheels - maybe going with 8.5/20 in front and 10/20 in rear.

Has anyone done this? If so, do any of you have recommendations on wheels that will fit the 4.6?

Any help and photos would be greatly appreciated!! My email is jdmtdy@hotmail.com.

My thanks in advance.

John

I have been searching for aftermarket wheels and so far I have the same problem you experienced. Because of the age of your posting I would like to know if you were sucessful with finding wheels that fit over the large brake calipers. What size did you finally go with if you did change the wheels? And what size tires?

huh... Let me call my wheel companies and see what I can come up with. I'll have them send me several so that I can do some test fitments.

Have you checked Tirerack?
They have a bunch of wheel listed that says it'll fit on the V8.
You're saying those wheels listed didn't clear the brakes?

If I remember correctly, someone reported that the wheels they bought from Tirerack didn't fit, or clear the brakes and Tirerack's online info was eventually going to be updated with wheels that will fit the Genesis.

Wow, that's not good.
You wouldn't happen to know if the current tirerack info is updated or not, would you?

I still have not found wheels that will clear the brakes. I've tried Tirerack and their data is still wrong.

I have a 2010 4.6 (upgraded from 2009) and I'd like to offset the front and rear wheels - maybe going with 8.5/20 in front and 10/20 in rear.

Still looking for help.

My thanks in advance.

I'm surprised that Tirerack is so slow on updating such a critical information.
Looks like we're pretty much stuck with the OEM wheels. (Of course the custom wheels would work, but they're pricey :( )

I bought aftermarket tires and wheels from Tirerack for my 4.6 Genny a year ago and have had 0 problems. Bought all weather tires, rims and tire pressure figments. Didn't even have to mess with the tire pressure indicator system. It was plug n play! They are good!

Just bought my 2011 Equus Black on Black and will go
there if I need different tires bur so far the factory rubber is great in the snow!!!
Great car!
