  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Well the wife was not to pleased with me having it in the living room so she said " Why not install a shelf over your work bench in the garage? " Brilliant idea I said. :D

LMAO! Your wife sounds a lot like mine: very diplomatic!

:D <= me after doing something I'm proud of
 <= my wife's usual reaction

Wow. Damn nice garage. I'm drooling over that tool cabinet.

I've been there, and your drooling is well justified. And Midnightsun looks after his cars as much as his garage.

Nice!!
Both the diecast AND the garage!
I'm jealous. :)

Mine sits over my cluttered desk at the office:

HELP!!!!.. I just received my beautiful Gennie model. However, it seems to be bolted from the bottom with 4 round anchors of some sort. I tried unscrewing one, got it loose, but not off. The styrene packing is very strong and I don't want to risk breaking the car. Obviously there is some easy method I am overlooking, so please help.

Too late, guys. I finally got to see that these anchors had recessed screws set in and I happily had a long skinny phillips screwdriver and got them off. Gentlemen, this model is truly a work of art, and everyone should have one. I mean, if we can't sleep in the garage, we can at least have one in the home.

Get a long phillips screwdriver and come up through the holes from underneath.

I noticed three things today that I hadn't noticed before:

1. The interior sunroof shade opens (!)
2. The visors open
3. The big yellow and white caution airbag stickers are faithfully reproduced.

Your garage looks like a surgical room. I'm jealous. Mine's, um, how shall I say it, not quite that organized and neat.

Those diecast models look kind of cool though!
