  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Do owners with bigger phones use a mount or put it somewhere in the car? When I bought the car, I had a Galaxy S6 Edge and it fit in the cup holder. I upgraded to a S7 Edge last year and it barely fit. Broke the screen a few days ago and I might go with a Note 8 provided work is willing to pay for it. I'm afraid it won't fit in the cup holder. I'm thinking of maybe using velcro so I can stick it below the CD player? I want it still visible because I tend to use Google maps more than the onboard nav. I only use the onboard for longer trips and it's nice to get turn by turn in the HUD.

The Galaxy is my work phone, I also have a Nokia 1020 which has a camera hump the size of an Oreo. Along with with the lady's iPhone 7, the cup holder is getting kinda crowded. Every couple of months, I'm on call so that's a 4th phone I try to jam in there... lol

Why doesn't this car have much console storage? My YF Sonata had quite a bit

My wife has a S7 Edge, and I have a Note 8. It isn't any wider, just taller, with more screen.

I use a vent mount on the far left and a bluetooth headset on long trips with my wife. For her, music is not interrupted when I receive a call or get a voice prompt from Google maps. It's in the cup holder for short trips with the headset. It stays in my pocket with no headset on really short trips. I return the call or text when I get to my destination.

I use a magnetic vent mount. Mine stays put very well and the phone has never fallen or moved while driving.

I have a iPhone 6 plus and it currently resides in the little cubby hole in front of the armrest where the console "open" buttons are. It does not totally lay down in it because the length is longer than the hole, but it stays there without worry of falling out.

Now, with all that being said, this is not where I want it to be. I just haven't figured out what I want to do with it yet. I know I do not want to block a air vent with it. There are some options here http://www.proclipusa.com/device/phone-holders/apple-iphone-6s-plus and I kind of like the one that mounts beside the drink holders, but I am not completely sold on it yet. Good luck finding a solution. Subscribing to this thread.

My problem is solved... I decided not to go with the Samsung 8 series. I don't have enough USB-C cables and I would've had to replace my Gear VR. Stuck with the Galaxy S7 but our corporate carrier no longer carries the Edge models so it's a regular S7. Fits in the cup holder still... lol

I always used the door handle I can put both my LG V20 and iPhone 6 plus vertically, the gen 1 genesis you can lay the phones in the door handle it was perfect.

I have my iphone 6 on one of those universal car dash mounts. Comes in handy.

I keep mine above the USB and 12V outlets in front of the shifter in the center console. Folding the phone cover back holds the phone upright at a good angle for visibility. As long as I keep it plugged in it doesn't slide around. I have a Galaxy S6 Edge, but larger phones should fit.
