are you upset that I disputed your proclamation on Florida Law?
FWIW: I agree with with gkc501 regarding purchase of extended vehicle warranties outside the state of Florida.
Previous 2 cars were Cadillac's. I purchased out of state extended warranties for both from a Cadillac dealership in PA. No issues with the purchase or refund of unused portion when vehicles were traded. In both cases the out of state warranties were a third less than the prices quoted by the Florida dealerships.

FWIW, just try that with Genesis and see what you get.

For out of state dealers it's incremental business and not against any state laws. While dealers may not have have an incentive to discount used or new cars in today's market, making a smaller profit on filling out a extended warranty contract form and mailing a copy to the buyer is a distinct possibility.
Since your opinion on this matter is so negative, is one to assume you have contacted Genesis dealers and tried to negotiate a lower price?
If so, perhaps you could list them and save those of us who wish to shop extended warranties the trouble of calling them.
Just a thought, have a nice day.

From all I've researched, I'm not seeing where Genesis is offering extended warranties. If there is such a thing I'd like to know as my warranty expires next month. Otherwise, I'm going with the extended warranty I have ready to go.

We are talking two different things. This appears to be a prepay for maintenance like oil changes and filters etc. I'm looking for an extended warranty that covers all the potential problems that come with owning a tech car. Appreciate the link.
Oops, sorry - my bad.

Go in to any GENESIS dealer. Their finance department will give you the cost. They are not going to discuss it with you on the phone.

I have sat down with 2 Hyundai dealers. They don’t offer it. There are no Genesis dealers anywhere near me.

My 5 year OEM warranty is up this month. Probably up this week. I've spoken to dealers and corporate and they don't wish to sell me an extended warranty. Actually the first dealer I went to tried to sell me an aftermarket plan for over $3600!!) I signed yesterday with my friend at Lexus and got the Warrantech 3 year plan. I chose the 20,000 miles because I don't put more than 5,000 a year on the car (if that much). The plan is totally comprehensive and I chose the $100 deductible. I spoke with my Hyundai dealer and they assured me they accept it. Out the door including Tennessee tax was $1800. If I decide to sell the car I get the difference back in a check. I know you get a refund because I got over $1000 back when I sold my Lexus LS460 F Sport after 2 years of a 4 year plan. Very pleased.

Buying it should be the easy part. Using it can be the hard part. Let us know how it goes when/if you have a claim.

Hope I don't need it, but I know it works. This company pays it all including OEM parts (if you can get them).

I called 4 dealers. 3 never even called me back. The other did not offer the Genesis plan. In about 3k more miles, I am buying the Genesis plan from their website. 2024 G90 e-SC

"Your location is very relevant to your question. For example, if you live in Florida, you have to buy the warranty in that state. It's the law."
I had to look this up, and here's what the future overlord of the human race (AI) had to say:
"Florida law dictates that extended vehicle warranties (service agreements) are considered insurance products and must be sold by entities licensed by the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation. This generally requires residents to buy these warranties from a dealer or provider licensed within the state, often restricting the ability to purchase cheaper, out-of-state options."

Well that's ridiculous... and I can't see how that would apply to a _factory_ warranty anyhow - which would be honored nationwide. I highly doubt that the Hyundai mothership has a florida factory warranty license for a car made in Korea :) Now - for 3rd parties... I could see that all day.

Do you have a point, or are you just grumbling?
