Getting familiar with the group...
I finally decided to look around under the hood of my V6 Tech Package Genesis last night.
Referring to the Owners Guide I wanted to become familiar with where various items were at. One thing I noted was on the left side of the engine bay just in front of one of the fuse boxes was what was referred to as "jumper terminals". Popping the cover off there were indeed terminals and some cables, but the battery is not located there.
Given the under body aerodynamic cladding it is difficult to get at the engine bay from the underside too if the battery is located lower in the engine bay. (Side bar changing the fog lamp bulbs could also be painful). May be it's in the trunk to help with the front to rear weight ratio?
Does anyone know where the battery is actually at? I am wondering if this is difficult to remove (dealer only) when it eventually needs replacing.
