I have the option to get a 2014 cert 3.8 sedan with the premium package and 13000 miles for 24750$ or a 2012 cert 3.8 sedan with the premium and tech package and 15000 miles for 22000$. Both same color parasian gray. Currently have a 09 3.8 black noir pearl with almost 94000k miles and am thinking about trading. Only getting 11k for my trade. Not a big fan of the parasian gray but thats not a huge deal breaker. Which route do i go. Make the trade or wait? Thank yall.
 
My car is Perisian Grey. Not my first choice as it is really like a light blue. But I have grown to like it. The White was my preference but I got a great buy on this one....

This is a toss up - The 14 is much nicer on navi and such then the 12 - but you say the 14 doesn't have tech package. I think if that is the case, I would take the 12 with the tech package myself. I think it is worth it to get.
 
Very much a toss up. Thank you for your reply. Ive also got to think about what warrenty i have left on each since the date of in service. Got a full 2+ more years on the 14 as it was a late purchase (fall of 14) and the 12 was a late 2011 purchase. And the 14 books out at 31k cpo where as the 12 books out at 26k cpo on nada. I can get better rate pricing with the 14 has well. Leaning toward the 14 way. And for the color the wife is driving it.

Does the 2012 have Bluetooth music streaming or was that not implemented until 2013?

Not sure if that matters to you but it might be another strike against the 12' if it is something you would use.

My base model 2012 did have BT streaming music. Illogically, the tech package 2012 4.6 I now have does not have BT streaming music. Go read the threads on here about it. Apparently, the 09-14 tech packages are the only trims that don't support BT music streaming.

Correct. Although the alternative of a second BT streaming receiver thru the aux port isn't to shabby of a solution. Just if you also have a flash-drive plugged in, it wants to default back to USB on startup.
 
Yea big negative on the bluetooth streaming. The wife would utilize it if it were there but she has been using the aux for that which is good enough for her. I was incorrect about the color of the 12. It is twilight blue pearl, not parasian gray like the 14. I pretty much let the 14 go because of the color and dealer not budging on price or even giving my first oil change or even topping it of with fuel. So thinking about the 12 the color is fantastic.
I dont know if this has ever happened to yall but since driving our black 09 and test driving the gray 14, the color of the car made me feel as if the pep was gone and there was no fun in driving that car even on stick mode. Could be the softer suspension but i sware it was the color. Felt like i was driving a camry, color wise. Not to offend anyone here that has that color, it just wasnt for me. I can also get the 12 now for 22k and has just over 14k miles on it local buy and trade at the same dealer. Thank all yall for your comments.
 
Bought the 2012 3.8 Blue genesis with Cashmere interior, Prem and tech package certified with 14715 miles. 22050$ out the door. It does have the delay on acceleration which the 09 didn't have the issue. Guess i'll be performing the famous magnet switch on the flappy hole cover.

That, or a little bit of gorilla tape has worked fine for me.
 
Gorilla tape stuck to the magnet like it sits?
 
I stuck four layers in small squares to the bottom lip of the intake tube where the magnet rests. It lessens the magnets grip by moving it away slightly. And gorilla tape adhesive has worked so far. If it ever does come loose, I may try the magnet flip then.
