Just got an invite in the mail today from Genesis Motors for the "exclusive gathering in Pacific Palisades to celebrate the launch of Genesis G80 and G90 luxury vehicles".

Date: Nov 13th 2016 4pm to 8pm.

Got one for the event in Orlando. I guess it depends what food they're serving and what deals they're offering. I can see the cars at a dealership.

The automotive press and local media will be impressed if a lot of people show up. I am sure there will be food, and maybe alcohol, but show up early for best selection.

Food was really not bad in NY. The event itself was meh. Was told to come at 6, everything started at 8 (they gave people 2 hours to eat lol). CEO went over the brand really quick, showed a couple of videos and said "goodbye". 50% left with him as football stars were boring.

Got mine 3 days ago.
It would have been nice if Hyundai would have offered special room rates for those traveling from out of state. It would have given my wife and I an excuse to make plans for a weekend jaunt.

Got one for the L.A. show. Said some famous musician was going to be there, But I've never heard of him. I'm not going though.

Went to the Orlando event on Friday Night... It was very impressive. Hyundai/Genesis spent a good deal of money on the event renting out the Phillips Center in Downtown Orlando. They provided a good spread of hors d'oeuvre, lots of interesting people, and an open bar. We got to talk about our cars while viewing the newest g80/90 models. Lots of people came and just sat around not talking to anyone (staring at their phones) but a good portion mingled and enjoyed a free evening in a beautiful setting.

The Genesis rep quickly went through his marketing stuff and got us to the evening entertainment (Gavin DeGraw). Didn't care for his stuff on-line, but in person it was a very good show.

For a car manufacturer to spend this kind of money on its pre-existing customers is pretty great, and only makes me more excited to be a Genesis Owner.
