  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Who has the Genesis GV70 at the TOP of their list for their next vehicle?

Might want to change your handle to westcoastAudi
No way , I'm a huge fan of the whole HKG group and what they are doing ................its all about timing and some bad dealer issues why I'm heading to Audi . I had 9 BMW and swore off them due to reliability issues despite awesome dealership experiences , I moved to Kia , bought 4 and was down the road on trading my Stinger for a Telly , underpowered , then got the GV bug , 70 is a bit small and the 80 is too garish , too much chrome and no Sport edition .............thus I ordered an SQ8 ...............but wont get it till July

I mean, if I could afford an SQ8, I wouldn't be here either lol.

I'm very interested in the GV70 too.... Can't decide whether I should preorder or wait till the GV70 is out in dealerships...also, does anyone know about the fuel economy of this car?

I wonder what the GV80 would look like if/when someone does a black vinyl wrap over all the chrome bits, and fits some black wheels. I mean, if you have GV80/SQ8 money, it may be worth it to see and cost a couple hundred bucks for the vinyl to be done, along with a grand or so for wheels. That should cut down on the 'garish' looks I think. I do agree, too much chrome. (Window surrounds, side "vents", bottom sill strips, roof rack rails).

Niiiiice. That fixes quite a bit, but the chrome bits need to be blacked out also. Someone's gonna do it and I'm in no rush. ;)

This is a GV70 thread.
Yes. It is. THe chrome bits on the GV70 can ALSO be blacked out like the GV80, if you don't like the chrome bits like as seen on the GV80, because "Garish".

Look, I get what you're trying to do here, but side discussion on the internet happens occasionally, and to try and moderate it *all* away is how you lose customers/users. Having been involved with car forums since the 90s... I have a BIT of experience in this matter.

I mean, if you want to be *that* pedantic...

"This is a GV70 thread"

Explain how that contributes to the topic of the thread, which is "Who had the GV70 at the top of their list of their next vehicle?"

It's as on topic as talking about chrome bits being garish on a similar vehicle produced by the same mfr. Don't be that person. Let things happen naturally, forums end up being better off with some side discussions sometimes, like at a party (natural) vs at a meeting (having an agenda to be strictly followed.)

Think of it this way... when you're talking to someone, do you always talk about what only you say is authorized/want to talk about? Or do you let other people talk about things, and maybe go off on a tangent, and then circle back? Yeah, forums are like the latter, not the former. More following the flow, the stream. Less steering/control.
